i'll take you on;
Characters: Ken and open!
Setting: The meadow floor (25).
Format: Either.
Summary: Ken's looking for some sparring practice. Hopefully people will answer his request from his network post.
Warnings: Violence, probably language. idk what else.
Ken didn't really care who came to see him in the meadow. Hopefully it would be at least one person, but he needed the practice anyway. He'd brought a few spears, in case anyone came to learn, but his more sturdy spear was in his hands.
He thrust forward, backward, and then planted it in the ground, using it like a pole vault to leap forward. He couldn't go as far as he used to - he still needed to adjust for weight. He wasn't as short as he used to be. Really, his spears probably needed to be extended, but he'd have to find someone to help with that.
He didn't trust everyone here. He couldn't. Really, there were only a few people he could trust - but that was enough for him. Still, better to give off the illusion of friendliness and openness in a place like this.
... He was thinking too much. Hopefully someone would show soon.

I usually am.

[He also twirls his spear, throwing it from hand to hand.]

[He shoots forward, planting his spear into the ground and using his momentum to come in from above.]
no subject
Hey! Ho fair!
[Abandoning the spear for a kick on the first move? That was something he hadn't expected.]

...Alright, I'll give you this round. You're good, Ken.

You got me pretty good though. I've been training with this for a long time though. Don't hold back - because I won't.

Round two, then?

[He readies himself, prepared to leap out of the way if he has to.]

Tch.
[He pulls out his Evoker and summons Dike for a healing spell.]
no subject
Oy, oy, isn't this cheating?
[If Ken's going to summon his persona, then Lancer figures runes are fair game. He quickly starts sketching a few in the air. If he gets done with them, then a wave of fire is going to spurt out.]
no subject
[The fire makes him jerk back and cross his arms to protect his face. It hurts, but it's nothing he hasn't fought though before. Dike points her spear at the sky, and lighting comes down, striking it and then flying towards Lancer.]
no subject
Well, glad we're not really trying to kill each other then. I like fair fights better.

[He's just going to charge Ken again.]
no subject
[He takes a step to the side, doing his best to get out of the way and get in a stab of his own.]
no subject
Jin. One of your brothers, right?
no subject
[He attempts another attack, faster this time.]
I'm more specialized. Healing, electricity, and light attacks.
no subject
No physical attacks, though? You'd think she'd have one with that spear of hers.
no subject
[He tries another thrust, just to prove his point.]
no subject
You do a fine enough job by yourself. I don't see a problem.
no subject
[Gotta do that fast, 'cause Ken races back to try to catch him while he's healing.]
