Setting: Starting in dorm floors and going to floor 101

Summary: Suzaku has been good, done what Diarmuid told him and left Lelouch well alone. But curiosity gets the best of him at the end
Warnings: Angsty, angry boys, mind wipe, betrayal, Code Geass awfulness also spoilers

Suzaku had been working hard all month, focusing on the collar researching and doing his best to avoid Lelouch and Rolo. But he couldn't put the matter out of his mind. Diarmuid had told him to leave it but he had to know. If this was a Lelouch from another world then his worries would be for nothing. Even though it was still not healthy for Rolo it was safe and Suzaku couldn't exactly begrudge happiness, since these would be the last months Rolo was alive. Even if the worlds were restored... Rolo was dead.

However is Suzaku was right, if this Lelouch was from his own world, having lost his memories due to Geass. He could be dangerous to Rolo, and to others if the glamour went off. It had flickered a bit the last month and Suzaku had heard nothing, but he needed proof.

So he was at his door, Arthur in his arms, teeth sunk into a finger and his gun at his side like always. He knocked.

Suzaku paused and turned, looking towards Lelouch. "We have to go eventually." He didn't move though, because he was happy to give Lelouch more time, and he didn't want to go back to the falseness either.

"I understand." He looked down, thinking for a moment and then continued to walk on towards the other.

He paused, waiting for Lelouch to catch up, not wanting to leave this place but knowing that he had no choice. He took a deep breath and stepped onto the glowing step, back to the staircase and up back to the dormitory floors.

Lelouch didn't speak as he followed behind the other. It was obvious that he had gone back to his Geassed self as soon as they had gone back to the powered floor. His serious expression had been replaced by a peaceful one, one with no worries or any secrets and hate for his friend.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I still have your gun." He said and held out the gun to Suzaku, "I didn't trust you at first, but I do now. Thank you for taking me here. It's really nice from everything else here."

And with that Lelouch was gone again. Suzaku blinked, his expression a lot sadder than it had been before they had went to the floor, but also a lot less stern. He took the gun and put it in his belt with a nod after making sure the safety was back on.

"I am glad you liked it..."

[doasisay]

"You seem sad... Does it remind you of something from home or something from here?" He remembered him seeming stern before, but not upset.

Suzaku blinked at him, trying to look less sad. "It does a bit, don't worry about me though."

[doasisay]

"Are you certain? I know we aren't very good friends here, Suzaku, we weren't back home either. But if you need to talk to someone...I'm here for you." Lelouch gave a light smile towards the other, trying to cheer him up. If only he knew that he had actually offered this twice. Though Suzaku wouldn't want to speak to this polite school boy.

The words probably hurt more than anything Lelouch had said to him in the garden and Suzaku just nodded. "Thank you. It is appreciated. The same goes with you."

[doasisay]

"What will you be doing the rest of the day?" He was curious, but he was also worried for the other. If Suzaku was upset, he didn't want him to go off somewhere by himself.

[swordofzero]

"Just training." He shrugged, "I guess I have to go to work as well." Guess who hates his job.

"Your job?" Lelouch blinked, actually looking surprised, "I didn't know you had a job here."

[swordofzero]

"Yes." Suzaku nodded, "I clean the ball pit."

He frowned, "There are bodies in there sometimes."

[doasisay]

There was a long pause from him as he frowned, "That's horrible. That can't be the only job there is."

[swordofzero]

"I didn't chose it." He shrugged, "I was a pool cleaner but they changed it."

[doasisay]

"They gave the job to you without even consulting you?" Lelouch looks more than surprised about that.

[swordofzero]

"After everything that happens here, that surprises you?" Suzaku asked raising an eyebrow. Choice wasn't something the tower gave much of.

[doasisay]

"There are a lot of things that still surprise me about this place..." He said and frowned lightly.

[swordofzero]

"You will learn." Suzaku told him. Angry at the tower, because in bringing this Lelouch they had brought someone completely unprepared for the horrors of this place. Powerless without the resolution that Lelouch had normally.
