Summary: The tower has been reduced to one room, and it's chock full of monsters. Who you gonna call?

[Well, ladies and gentlemen, shit dun hit the fan.]

[The tower has been condensed to one room with pretty much nothing in it. This post? Do whatever in it. General reactions. Go. ...As for Ienzo, he's just kind of sitting in the corner, head in his hands.]

... So you must be Sollux, right? [She figures they should do the prerequisite introductions at some point, and she does want to go back to monster slaying sometime soon.] Aradia described you to me when we talked. It's Willow.

[She still has a hard time not getting immediately protective over how young they all were, and looked. Willow was just so used to taking care of Dawnie, and they were younger than that; but she knew from personal experience that it was, mostly, a lost cause.]

Yeah, I'm Thollukth. [He blinks, then slaps his forehead and nods] Right! The lowblood douchefin'th matethprit. How'th that going?

... It's going. I sort of, um, got into a fight because someone was attacking him. It-- brought back bad memories. [And that's really all she wants to say on that, but she does want to warn him.]

Have you heard of the Grand Highblood?

[He nods, unsure why she's telling him this, but listening. He turns away to blast a monster that's gettign too close and too interested in what they're doing, but then turns right back to her, turning pale]

Uh, the Grand Highblood Thubjugglator? Yeah, I've heard of him. Eridan fought him?

He tried. There was an attempt at fighting, but I think he mostly got the crap kicked out of him until I got there.

[Apparently she's not going to elaborate on what happened after that. Willow's still feeling deeply conflicted over the entire event, and hasn't processed everything yet, emotionally. She turns to fry a monster herself, perhaps with some excessive force in her lightning.] I wanted to make sure you knew to look out for him.

I knew he wath here... [He is still pretty pale] I think getting nearly fucking culled by Dualthcar ith enough for me. I'm mothtly thtaying away from the highblood adultth, tho don't worry about me. Bethideth... I can protect mythelf.

He was pretty persistent, [she cautions him, still feeling tense and facing away, watching the monsters scurry around.] And strong. Avoidance is probably for the best.

[Willow takes a deep breath, pushing that part of herself down and turning in place mid-air to face him again. The control necessary for it helps her wrench her mind out of the memories.] So who's Dualscar?

Yeah, of courthe. He'th a thubjugglator. [He's watching her worriedly. It seems like she was maybe traumatized pretty badly by what she saw, and wonders if Eridan's okay]

Dualthcar ith your boyfriend'th anthethtor.

[It's more the associated events that had really traumatized her, less than the event itself, which she was still ambivalent about. Whatever had happened, the highblood had needed to have his killing curbed, and she was defending Eridan. It was defense, not mindless vengeance. Willow couldn't help but feel a bit justified; she was just worried that she was justifying too much.

But on the surface level, she's moving steadily toward the joking part of the dealing with it, a standard Scooby ritual she would not want to shun.] Yeah, we don't have... subjub-- subjugglators? I've fought plenty of demons, but most of them aren't so, you know, purple and fond of swearing.

[That's maybe sort of potential future boyfriend, thanks, but Willow won't quibble. It seems like a lost cause.] Okay, that's the second time you've said ancestor specifically. Does that mean something in particular?

[Sollux shrugs. Of course humans don't have subjugglators.]

Thubjugglatorth aren't demonth, they're trollth. They're jutht really violent highblood trollth who have the right to cull anyone lower than they are, and have a religiouth reathon to do it.

[He nods] Our anthethtor ith a troll that'th genetically identical... there'th a legend that every troll hath one. And we're thort of thuppothhed to follow in their footthtepth.

I don't mean demon-demons, I just mean... non-humans, I guess. That's how we use it at home. [Everyone's so quick to rush to tell her that trolls aren't demons, that Willow feels like she has to clarify this at least to someone.] Which, can I add, this whole culling thing? Makes me seriously angry.

[Oh wait, exposition and explanation. Some of her favorite stuff.] Huh. No pressure or anything. [That's actually pretty interesting, but of course Willow's first concern is how it impacts the people she cares about.]

Yeah, but that'th pretty rathitht if you get right down to it. [He smiles, though, to soften the words] I'm not too happy about the culling thing, either.

[He shrugs, turns away to blast another monster, then glances at her again] I'd die rather than follow mine, but he'th a dethent guy. Jutht had a rough life of thlavery, tho no thank you.

[Gosh, she's so not racist. The word actually makes her turn a bit pouty.] It's not like that-- I know plenty of demons that are perfectly nice and I would even let housesit for me. They call themselves that. It's just a habit I'm not out of.

I wish I could do something that would actually help with this... highblood and lowblood thing, but all I can do is try to stop it while I'm here. And frankly, that sucks. [Does she seem weirdly ready to take on someone else's social cause? Cause she is more than ready, and is genuinely frustrated that that's all she can do.]

But we call ourthelveth trollth.

... That worried about your boyfriend?

You realize you guys have like, an entire associated vocabulary, right? I need time to absorb. [It's not plaintive-- it's just a statement made in between frying more monsters.]

Him, but really all of you. Let's just say I've spent years being sidekick to a real superhero. I can't sit around while there's something like this going on.

I do realithe that. We're thtill not demonth. [But he really is grinning. She doesn't have to be so defensive, because he doesn't actually care that much.]

That'th actually pretty cute.

[Willow is just a defensive creative. But she notices him grinning and gives him a fake stern look.] Don't play semantics with me, young man. I may not have gotten the highest score at Duck Hunt, but that doesn't mean I can't aim. [Whoops, apparently it's time for fake threats now, too.

Especially if he's going to be calling her cute, oh Goddess why is he doing that? Willow is still feeling self-conscious enough on a continual, persistent basis to find this embarrassing, and she blushes faintly.] How is it cute? It's just-- being a decent person! And, and wanting people not to get killed! Totally not cute.

But you do it cutely. [He laughs at the look on her face] Don't think I can't defend mythelf, either! Tho no blathting me!

Cuteness overruled. That word will only result in me squeaking and protesting, and making more empty threats.

Which, I will have you know, I am the queen of. These empty threats can get very articulate.

[He laughs] Oh no, I wouldn't want to have to defend mythelf againtht empty threatth!

[She can't help smiling as he continues laughing. Other people being in a good mood puts her in one pretty quickly.]

It takes a hefty defense, don't knock it, [she says teasingly.] These guys down here don't know how good they have it. All they get are electrocuted.

[He laughs again, and then gives her a wave] You're right about that. But I thee my matethprit over there, tho until nektht time! [He darts away towards Aradia, blasting a flying monster that was trying to sneak up on her]
