In which the entire tower collectively goes OH SHIT

Characters: The entire tower. PARTY POST.
Setting: Take a wild guess.
Format: Either or.
Summary: The tower has been reduced to one room, and it's chock full of monsters. Who you gonna call?
Warnings: Lots, the least of which being language...

[Well, ladies and gentlemen, shit dun hit the fan.]

[The tower has been condensed to one room with pretty much nothing in it. This post? Do whatever in it. General reactions. Go. ...As for Ienzo, he's just kind of sitting in the corner, head in his hands.]

For Aradia, the problem isn't so much that the tower is one big room, more that it's full of monsters and while she's not a bad fighter, exactly, it's still not something she'd prefer to deal with.

Of course, it doesn't help that she can't get too close to them without her powers disappearing and leaving her hardly at her most effective. Thus she's mostly staying airborne, trying to stay far enough away from the monsters that she's able to freeze or otherwise attack them without having to revert to her more than rusty whipkind specibus.

Kanaya isn't sure, at first, who's responsible for freezing the monsters in place, but she sure as hell is taking advantage of it. Sawing through the immobile beasties is only too easy, and it's only after taking down a few of them that Kanaya glances upwards, and finally spots the hovering Aradia.

Well, that explains a lot. She can't really think of anything to say, so she just continues to exploit Aradia's time magic, hoping that a silent agreement of freezing and attacking is obvious.

Aradia smiles and nods when she sees Kanaya look up. It's tricky to ensure only the beasties get frozen but she's getting the hang of her powers now and the sheer number of unfriendly creatures means she can get a couple at a time without also freezing anyone she shouldn't. Teamwork is a go.

Kanaya vaguely notes how well Aradia is using her powers, and wonders if her Eridan back home was as skilled with them. As kind-hearted as Eridan was, his location and the nature of his role prevented her from speaking with him often, so she didn't really get to see him in action much save when they had to face down Jack Noir (and that was pretty impressive, with the time duplicate gambit).

After mauling a good handful of their aggressors, Kanaya throws Aradia a quick glance when she has a moment. "Thank you," the candy blood calls in gratitude. It's all she can really say before she has to go back to work, but she feels like it's worth saying.

Aradia simply smiles wider at the show of gratitude, freezing and slowing a few more beasties before replying. "You're welcome. We make a pretty good team, huh?"

As she says this, she swerves suddenly as some winged creatures get a little too close for comfort. She backs up a little further but still keeps an eye on Kanaya as best she can for also dealing with airborne foes.

Kanaya would help Aradia with the aerial-attacking foes if she could, but as it is, she's rooted to the ground. Even if she could jump that high from natural ability, the chainsaw would weigh her down too much for it to be useful.

"This does seem to be the case," Kanaya agrees, ducking low to avoid a quick slash across and then lunging forward to bury her saw blade into the offending attacker.

Aradia manages to soar enough to take care of the winged foes before dropping a little again to help Kanaya. Truthfully, so long as the aerial creatures didn't start to show up in the same numbers as those on the ground, she'd pretty confident that she can keep out of harm's way. Which means she can help out Kanaya all the better.

For example, by slowing down a couple of beasties which were approaching the other troll from behind, just before using her telekinesis to throw one into the other.

Kanaya turns at the sound of a collision behind her, sparing Aradia a look of gratitude for sabotaging the ambush before darting towards the fallen monsters to messily behead both of them.

She pants, lifting her heavy chainsaw to swing it around to some beasts coming up on her from the right. "So, you are the Hero of Time?" Kanaya eventually questioned when she had a moment to spare. She wasn't totally familiar with all of Eridan's powers, but Aradia's seemed similar enough.

Aradia continues to fight, the combination of her powers coming to her more easily now that she had warmed to the fight.

At Kanaya's question, she glances down and nods. "That's right. I didn't realise you'd played SGRUB."

After she'd discovered that neither the alternate Aradia nor the alternate Eridan she'd spoken to had played, she'd sort-of come to a conclusion that theirs was the only timestream where SGRUB was involved so to learn otherwise was something of a surprise.
