[Well, ladies and gentlemen, shit dun hit the fan.]

[The tower has been condensed to one room with pretty much nothing in it. This post? Do whatever in it. General reactions. Go. ...As for Ienzo, he's just kind of sitting in the corner, head in his hands.]

[Oh, thank goodness, it's only Aqu--aaaaah shit.]

[In any other situation he might have been more concerned by the fact she kind of grabbed on to his shoulder, but a moment later there was a Reflect shield around them (this much he had gathered from Aqua's demonstrations) and some pointy things he couldn't recognize were trying to scratch their way past it. He wastes no time in following her orders once the shield has been taken down, and if she listens carefully, she might actually hear his response. It's delivered with the sort of submissive (!) tone that suggests he's been saying this quite a lot over the course of his life.]

...yes, aqua.

[She does hear it, being in such close proximity to him. But there's something...off about it that turns the sternness in her face to concern. She can't put her finger on it, though, and that's almost as troubling as it being there at all.

She stands preceding a movement to follow Ienzo, swinging Master Keeper outwards to strike at an approaching hostile.]

I'll keep the path clear for you. [She's still serious as she says it, but her tone is a little softer this time.] Be careful.

[He doesn't say anything this time, instead focusing on running. Since we all know Ienzo is a terrible runner since he's got pretty short legs, it does take a bit longer than he would have preferred it to, but eventually he's secured a position on the quickly-filling staircase. But instead of immediately addressing his curiosity at why everyone is just lined up here, he looks back down at Aqua.]

[Aqua keeps an eye on Ienzo as he runs, staying close enough behind him that she can protect him for the most part, but not so close that she chances him getting caught in the crossfire.

She dashes to the foot of the staircase ahead of the flock of beasts and casts a quick Thundaga in front of her, striking down some of the monsters and sending others skittering away from the stairs. She glances briefly over her shoulder to catch Ienzo's gaze.]

It's safer there. Will you be alright?

y-yes. [Even he isn't sure if she can hear him, though, so he nods once afterward. While Aqua goes back and continues fighting, maybe he'll try to talk to some of the people here, figure out what's the holdup... or maybe he'll just sit there and watch quietly. Yeah, probably the second.]
