[Well, ladies and gentlemen, shit dun hit the fan.]

[The tower has been condensed to one room with pretty much nothing in it. This post? Do whatever in it. General reactions. Go. ...As for Ienzo, he's just kind of sitting in the corner, head in his hands.]

Kanaya was a helpful troll by nature, despite her general lack of skill in being so and tendency to bloodrage when things got tough. She was getting dangerously close to it at the moment, but remembering just how many scared other people were around her was keeping her tethered mostly to sanity.

The recognition of the name -- "Ammy", where had she encountered that before? -- was subconscious, if anything. But the trio of frightened humans near the stairs demanded her attention. The one gave it an admirable shot, but...

Well, while she was making a mess, she may as well help someone.

So she rushed towards the trio, chainsaw revving menacingly at her side, to begin tearing mercilessly through the monsters that were looking to harm the defenseless humans.

Link happens to spot the three kids, and is beaten to the punch by Kanaya. She doesn't recognize her, but that's hardly important. What IS important is that they're surrounded and that Kanaya's chainsaw can really only cut so many things so quickly. Before she can get there, some arrows are sent into the monsters surrounding Amadeus and the others. Some of them might be on fire, even.

It isn't long before the Hero of Time herself is there to assist as well, watching Raiden tackle something, she sinks her sword into it quickly and tears it out mercilessly, unbothered. By now she's covered in all sorts of blood and ooze, as is her blade, but she hardly cares. She's injured, but only slightly. There aren't any gaping wounds due to her shield. But she's about to give that up to the kids if she has to, because their safety is far more important.

With a concerned glance, she turns to Amadeus and Echidna, recognizing the girl's face. She also quickly tugs Raiden up by his clothing, not really concerned about being polite at the moment.

"You three, up the stairs! Now! And be quick about it! I'll cover you."

With his wuss level at all time highs, he didn't get to see much of anyone's badass helping attempts, at least until Chi started tugging on him. His first instinct was to become more of a ball than a human wisely running away, but the sound of a chainsaw, and another person yelling sort of got him moving. Ammy's legs nearly buckled, but he had enough sense of area to get to the stairs, using Chi's grip on his arm to tug her along. He had half a mind to turn back and look, and stalled when he realized Rai had been there too.

So. Tackling big angry and possibly scaly wasn't exactly the shining act of valiance it was meant to be, as Raiden had only slightly more effect than a dozy kitten stumbling into a wall. The good news is this tower is full of supernatural badasses as much as it's filled with horrible death, and wow there's monster blood on him, that lady just sliced that beast in half. _{Cool. Also, gross.}

He manages a cursory "Thanks" before taking off for the stairs as well.

The chainsaw noises were a bit surprising, but there was easily a sense of relief when she saw the chainsaw was slicing through monsters, and that Link was here! And OK! And beating up monsters!

Echidna would have to be amazed and excited about all this later though, because not only was Ammy flubbing a bit, he was was being tugged along and Raiden was running off.

"Be careful!!" She spat out panickedly before letting herslef be pulled along by Ammy, keeping a grip on his arm both to make sure he didn't fall, and to keep herself steady.

"You should be careful as well," Kanaya called in return to the bespectacled human girl's warning, though her eyes did not leave the assailants that were still determined to attack the fleeing kids. A throaty growl escaped her as she jumped at a monster a little too close to the heels of the humans for comfort, halting its progress with a splatter of whatever weird fluid the thing was filled with.

She pulled the running chainsaw out of the corpse and glanced to Link. "Thank you for the assistance," the young troll said hastily before she was forced to engage another enemy, raising the chainsaw to parry an attack and grunting as she was forced back along the floor.

Link nods, not at all bothered by the fighting. As she'd promised, she positions herself behind the three human children, attacking anything Kanaya misses that might be getting a little too close. It's times such as this that the Hylian is glad she had kept herself in shape and not let up on her own personal training regimen, because otherwise she would be quite tired by now. She can only hope that it won't take them long to get up the stairs, because they're easy enough prey that far too may of these creatures are showing up to try their luck.

She slices through something (it vaguely resembles a wallmaster or a floormaster, she can't help thinking) and turns to Kanaya when she has a free moment.

"There's others besides them; when they're up there, we should try to find the rest who can't fight."

Always a hero, this one.

Ammy waited until it was convenient to grab a hold of Rai too before finishing his rush up the stairs, dragging his posse along with reckless abandon. Not that his noodly arms could really drag them for long, or that his wheezy lungs could last all that long, but he eventually got a distance up before plopping his ass down on a stair.

His chest was sort of burning, and don't tell anyone but he was feeling really sick and quivery!! Maybe when his adrenalin was done lighting up his nervous system he'd actually check his damn bloodsugar.
