In which the entire tower collectively goes OH SHIT

[Well, ladies and gentlemen, shit dun hit the fan.]

[The tower has been condensed to one room with pretty much nothing in it. This post? Do whatever in it. General reactions. Go. ...As for Ienzo, he's just kind of sitting in the corner, head in his hands.]

[The Drone turns, avoiding the kick and swinging the pail around towards Suzaku's head. Signless is still shaking the fear off, but he jumps forward again and slashes at its back, cutting deeply into it again. The thing is tough, though, and still standing.

It swings around and backhands Signless in the face, dropping him to his knees with a snarl]

[Suzaku was knocked to the ground by the pail and got to his feet shakily, just in time to see Signless fall to the floor. What was this thing that they where fighting?

Suzaku launched himself at it again, giving up on any attempt to damage it and focusing on keeping it away from Signless.]

[Bleeding now, Signless gets to his feet, stubbornly not letting the wound get to him. He slashes at the creature's arms next]

Suzaku! You okay?

[Suzaku was knocked down again but got back to his feet. He was bleeding and bruised but went in to kick the creature again]

Don't worry about me. Are you injured? [He tried to duck out the way of the pail again]

What is this thing?

I'm okay! [He has no idea if he's hurt or not, running on adrenaline and fear. He slashes at the thing again, and it falls to its knees, moving jerkily as its circuits struggle] This. [He kicks it in the head] Is an Imperial Drone.

They, uh, cull failed trolls.

[He blinked and kicked the thing again, trying to time his attacks with Signless'. The killed failed trolls? Suzaku had known that troll society was more brutal than even Britannian society.

Part of him told him that if he were a troll he'd of fallen to one of these Drone's years ago. He kicked it again.]

What's with the buckets? [Because really, if it was killing failed trolls surely a sword or a gun or something would be a better weapon...]

Uh. [The drone gives a final sizzle and falls over with a thud and a crackle of frying electronics. Signless is blushing deep crimson.] By failed trolls, I mean ones who can't fill their quadrants and provide genetic material for the mother grub. That's what the pails are for.

[Suzaku gave it one last kick, just to make sure it was definitely dead. Then he blinked at Signless in utter disbelief, he had been around trolls enough to be able to translate what he was saying but...]

What? [Until now he had generally been able to understand troll culture even if it was different than his but... He looked at the thing they had just taken down and shuddered.]

[He smiles a bit, and pats Suzaku on the shoulder] For a mutant like me who can't hope to ever reproduce, seeing something like that like every worst nightmare come to life. I hope it's the only one.

[swordofzero]

[Suzaku's brain was still stuck on they get killed for failing to reproduce and so he just blinked.] Let's hope so...

[He looked around, looking for more monsters of any sort.]
