It's not crazy if he's still likely to win.

[Xion's voice is flat, matter-of-fact. She remembers what Aria had said. She hadn't said anything about winning. She just said to stall him. To distract him. They weren't expected to defeat Jason. They were only expected to keep him from winning long enough that Aria and the other retrieval units could do what they wanted to do first.

That didn't mean she wouldn't try to get in a hit or two in the process though.]

[She's quiet for just a second at that. It's true, their objective is to stall him, not defeat him. And by the sounds of things, Jason is an incredibly formidable opponent. On top of that, it seems entirely possible he hasn't revealed the full extent of his capabilities yet.

Somehow this doesn't shake Amelia's resolve in the slightest. Dying fighting for something important is something she's far more comfortable with than dying because of Ruana's sick sense of humor or another of the Tower's many death traps. Maybe a little more comfortable with than would strictly qualify as sane by this point.

And there's always a chance, no matter how slim...]

Likely to win, but not certain. Nobody is invincible, not even him.

[Xion dips her head, her expression softening very slightly]

Yeah. That's true. And... if there was ever a chance we could do it... it'd probably be like this.

[She's no strategist, that was always the job of those higher up the chain of command than herself. But she's got enough experience to be able to list a number of advantages they have anyways.]

Exactly, we're all here, and for once he has to come to us instead of the other way around. That gives us the advantage.

[Defending is almost always easier than attacking, and for once they'll be dealing with an admin on something resembling their territory. In her time here, this is the closest they've ever come to fighting an admin on equal terms.]

[Amelia's saying the right sort of things. A smile is slowly growing on Xion's face. Not a strong, powerful one, but a quiet, hopeful one]
