ROUSING THE TROOPS
When he's done, he goes back to stand on Dorm 1 in front of the elevator, waiting for them.]

Got a plan in mind?

Yeah. Meeting up on the Dorm One first thing. If ya see anyone tell them to meet there. We need to figure out what the hell is going on outside, and the elevators are locked down.

They were going to be facing Jason again. And she wasn't sure if she was more angry or terrified.
Because she was angry. For the first time she could ever think, she actually felt angry. Not just for what Jason had done to her friends and her family, but to her personally. It was such a startling change, and scary in and of itself. Even with Ganon, she'd hated him so much more for what he'd done to Shion and Reno and Elena than how he'd tortured her.
She's one of the first people waiting (her door being right next to the elevator). Her hands are clenched tightly around a sword that - any glamour glitches will reveal - is quite, quite real. The look on her face is one of trepidation, and barely suppressed terror and rage in equal measure.
There's time enough before everyone gets there. And Xion really needs to talk to somebody. Whether she wants to or not.]

[He doesn't ask if she's all right, or if she's nervous. He's there not as her father, but as the Director. In his entire memory, the Director had always been calm and sure of himself in times of crisis. It's to assure the rookies and veterans alike, as well as himself. Giving into panic got nowhere and only fell down a slippery slope.]
Are you ready?

hi sis
He runs up to her, noting the look on her face. His is more one of confusion, and determination. His is scared yes, but the anger of what Jason has done to everyone he cares about over powers that. He doesn't even say anything.
For once it feels like they are really making progress, first the collar fluid breakthrough and now this.]

Waiting is the worst part of any major battle, something she's felt herself plenty of times before. And while this is certainly not the time for idle small talk, there's plenty about the situation at hand to discuss. And if nothing else, talking about something, anything will help keep her own mind from tying itself into knots trying to figure out everything that's going on at once.]
Do you think he's crazy enough to just come up here and face us head on?

[It's more chance that brings Axel to her side than anything else. After all the commotion, he'd headed out of his room to check things out. And what do you know: there's one of his best friends, looking ... really, really off.
[It's startling, seeing the look on her face, and his surprise (and subsequent concern) shows.]

Riku doesn't have many personal feelings on this; he dislikes Jason as fiercely as the majority of them, but he's never brushed closely with him, has only exchanged a few words at best in the almost two years of his stay, not unlike...
It's easy to see just how much Xion has been affected by Aria's announcement just from knowing her as long as he has, and it makes him worry for her, not because he just might end up in harm's way but because by now she just might actively seek it (and he can't bear just the idea of June or July repeating themselves, or being too late and/or utterly unable to do anything to change what has already been done).
No, she's not the only one who really needs to talk.]

She's got her staff in hand and anyone attuned to shifts in elemental energy might notice some slight changes in the air around her as she shuffles the state of her Djinn. Maybe her powers may be glamour, but it's something of a tradition for her - she and the others on Weyard had tended to adjust which Djinn were standing by and which Djinn were set to use right before they knew they had an intense struggle coming up, and it's somewhat calming to go through the motions.
Breath has been set. Blitz has been set. Ether has been set. Waft is on standby and is ready for summoning. Haze has been set. Wheeze is on standby and is ready for summoning. Whorl is on standby and is ready for summoning. Smog is on standby and is ready for summoning. Squall has been set.]
Hey! [She calls, when she catches sight of anyone - Reno, someone else coming down to join them, or even a small group -] How far do you think we can trust this?
[It's a great opportunity, and she intends to make use of it and take risks, but she wants to identify exactly how risky it might be. Aria isn't someone she's read the mind of before, so she's a little skeptical about all this.]

As much as we can trust anything.
[Her voice matter-of-fact, her hands grip her real sword more tightly. She was going to do this. No matter what. She had to.
It would help if she could at least see this so-called Aria. If her collar was chipped, like all the other units that were following them recently had been chipped, then maybe they could trust this a bit more. As it was... she was trusting this, because they didn't have much to lose did they?]

Hard to say, but I think it's one of the better chances we've had for a while. We'll just have to be ready for anything.
[She glances over her shoulder for a second, as far as she's concerned the entire Tower might as well be hostile territory right now and she keeps Garm gripped tightly in one hand. The power she can feel from it, fake as it might be, is slightly reassuring nonetheless.]

AT LONG LAST A THREAD
Good. He'd been worried, especially when the other Sheba had just disappeared off the map...]
What's the risk in it? It's not like they can blame us for the outage when there's already someone else taking credit.
[He settles into step beside her for the time being. There are still some people he needs to speak to, but Sheba's his best friend and he's barely seen her since October. There's some evidence of that in his expression, too, a bit of uncertain concern that doesn't quite reach the seriousness of his voice.]
Are you alright? You haven't been around much lately.

[It's been that way, pretty much from the moment he stepped into the Turks the first time. Choices haven't always been available but things always seems to turn out all right. He's really hoping that this Aria is one of those things that taking a chance on won't disappoint.]
Worst case, we get killed. Best case, maybe we can take Jason down or incapacitate him.

<As far as we can trust most things, which isn't much. But we need to check it out anyway.>
[Room 2-03 Dorm Door]
She remembers what happened earlier in the year. What Jason did to so many people within the Tower. What he did to their bodies, their minds. For a split second her mind flashes back to her confrontation with Sheba on the 81st Floor, how she'd been forced to cut her down to defend herself...
Any anxiety she felt a moment ago is replaced by a surge of white-hot anger, the young knight having to take a deep breath in order to force herself to calm down. She wants to face Jason and to make him pay for what he's done, but a reckless soldier is a dead soldier, and dead soldiers fight for no cause.
When Reno knocks on her door she answers it straight away, her axe Garm already slung across her back with her sheathed sword in her hands, just starting to slide it into her belt so she can secure it properly. Rather than her usual friendly, if slightly tired smile, the look on her face is one of determination, an unmistakable fire burning just behind her eyes.]
Sir.
[Typically she just calls him Reno, aware that he generally prefers being called that. But this isn't her usual tone either, instead of her usual somewhat easygoing politeness this is a sharp, quick acknowledgement of her superior officer.
She is a soldier, a knight. And right now she intends to be a damn good one.]

In response, he nods to her.]

Meeting/Assignments
[Reno looks around at his Turks... yeah, his Turks. He was their's as much as they were his. These are the people he recruited and even helped train.]
Down to business. Seems like we got ourselves an ally downstairs. Maybe. I don't know her or what her plans are. I want you to be careful if you deal with her.
We got to figure out what's going on to the Tower. If this gal thinks we can keep Jason occupied, I want ideas tossed my way. We're going to have to be resourceful on this one. I was hopin' to have a little more time before something like this, but you're all well trained and I know you guys can work together.
[Clearing his throat, he glances over at Xion.]
Xion, do ya have any of those leathers made yet? I noticed it's been gettin' colder and we might need 'em inside. I want you to get your stash and hand 'em out to anyone here that doesn't have one yet. Take someone to help. I want everybody outfitted.
[This is one time he's glad for all the humanitarian missions they were doing.]
The rest of you, if you need it, get something from Xion. Don't move out without a partner.
[Missions.]
I need volunteers to check out the lower floors.
Someone to look outside and find out why the hell the Tower is shuddering.
Someone needs to get down to the Kitchen and get and pass around some food- I don't want you guys to pass out while this is goin' on. Take a day's rations each, we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.
Someone needs to go around and gather up the weapons I've been stashing. Some of them might not be real, but I have a few in my locker. If we're goin' to be fighting Jason, I want you all equipped.
Lastly, this is gonna be a big one, but I need someone to go with me and check out the whole Tower. We're goin' to be walking down the staircase and back up again.
When everybody's done, meet on Floor 50, or the closest "safe" floor to it, for debriefing.

Aria's Legitimacy + Floor 23-ish
Aria can be trusted. She is the first retrieval unit Dax modified, and the last piece of his rebellion he left behind for us. She helped us find the 'microchips' that brought the glamour down, and she is the one responsible for getting us the equipment necessary to research the collar fluid.
Now, she oversees the collar checkups, and will see to it that we receive the fluid that will give us our true abilities back.
[She seems utterly convinced of these facts, at least. There isn't a hint of a lie in her voice or expression.]
Last time I was down there, she mentioned a hub of elevators on the twenty-third floor. Under normal circumstances, we are drugged to forget seeing it when we pass through it, but... these are far from normal circumstances. It may be worth looking into.
