...

[Sheba's expression tightens and she brings up a hand to fiddle with the collar of her tunic. The memory she's recalling clearly isn't a good one.] The first time I went down to the administrative levels... my team ended up in Jason's lab then, too. [She manages a weak smile.] Felix, Enoch, and a woman who isn't here anymore all made it out, but... they had deactivated my powers, and I'm no good in a fight without Psynergy. They had hammers. [Her hand trails down to rest at her chest - right where it had been smashed in so long ago.]

The second time I ran into them, with Dark Pit during the last infiltration, I just ran. They were slower... I think because Jason shut off the glamour down there. If they had caught us, I'm sure it would have been the first time all over again... just with their bare hands instead of hammers.

[... oh. It's obvious from the way Sheba reacts what the answer is, and Amelia's determined expression gives way to a small frown when she hears the details. She nearly cringes when she imagines what a warhammer to the chest probably did but her composure holds together, instead filing away that piece of information for later. So retrieval units sometimes use weapons... that's going to be problematic.]

... I see. They must be strong then...

[She's hesitant to make any promises. She knows her own limits, knows that in all likelyhood she's probably going to die before this is over. And more than that she can still remember how utterly useless she was when the shadow children were running all over the Tower, how she hadn't been able to protect anybody. Not even herself.

But giving up is not something she ever learned to do, and she's as determined as ever to give the Turks her all. To make up for her past failures. And when she speaks again there's a sense of conviction that wasn't there a second ago.]

As long as I'm still standing, I'm not going to let that happen.
