[When Waver woke, the first thing he heard was a small scratching coming from the foot of his bed. And then a crow. And frankly, what the hell?

So, he got up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, and opened the trunk...only to have a very angry rooster pop out at him, feathers flying. It caught his nose in its beak, as if the shock wasn't already enough to send him falling backwards on his butt.

Anyone nearby will probably hear a shriek in the middle of the frenzy.]

Elswhere; any day
[Tiny Waver now carries the rooster under his arm pretty much anywhere he goes. He doesn't trust it alone in his room. He doesn't look like he's having a good time keeping it with him, though. It often tries to fly away, scratch or peck him. And it's damn noisy.

After a few days it elects to sit on his head most of the time. Certainly easier to deal with, but...still pretty annoying.]

[Ah, yes. Mornings. In any other day when there's nothing going on, Minato's mornings were usually quiet. He'd wake up, get ready and bid his roommates farewell before he leave.

Only this time, he wake up to the sounds of shrieking.

[WHY IS THERE A ROOSTER

[Waver turns to him in near-horror, the rooster currently flapping about over the empty bed.]

Get away, Minato, it'll come for you too...!!

[Minato quickly looks between the rooster and Waver, noting that look of near-horror.]

Does this mean we have to strike it down?

No, don't anger it!!

What under darkness do even be going on in here? [The door flies open, Waver has never met his next door neighbour but here she is, and she looks like she can't decide whether to be amused or angry.]

[That's really all he can manage to say. The shock and horror are just too much.

As the door opens, it stops pecking his face and flies off to the bed, so he points at it.]

The chicken? [She looks at it, and then back at him] You do be making so much noise because you do be being scared of a chicken?

[Rolo wasn't planning to say anything... but this certainly was a curious sight - a boy with a rooster on his head.]

Shion had his arms full of books which he was putting away, between this job, the heightened need for people with medical knowledge and his research he was exhausted, but it didn't stop his face breaking into a smile when he saw the boy and the rooster.

"A rooster!" Oh look it is so cute and sitting on his head, Shion reaches out to pet it, do roosters even liked being petted? He guesses he will find out.

"Ah, don't--" Thinking the rooster is going to bite Shion, he tries to stop him. But then it doesn't...and actually allows him to pet it.

"...Huh."

It's adorable, Shion pets it happily. "Is it yours? Where did you find it?" Oh aren't you a cute rooster, he smiles at the boy who it belongs to, still petting the animal.

[Assassin has to do a double take when she notices the boy walking around with a chicken on his head. She stares at him for a good while before walking over to him.]

...Is that...your pet?

[The chicken jumps down off his head to pick at the food on Waver's plate.]

...No.

...Oh. But it seems to like you.

Stairwell, on the way to the infirmary

[There's no rest for the wicked. Jade's assigned job when he came to the Tower was to be a nurse and distribute drugs and medication for any who need them. It's actually a rather enjoyable task, given the type of person he is, and the vast number of different kinds of drugs means he'll pretty much never get bored. The same could be said of the Tower in general, though. There's always something new to discover, something different, something horrible--

--something like a young Waver walking by with a chicken on his head.

Jade can take most things in stride, but even this has to give him pause. He stops in mid-step. He doesn't actually say a word to the young man, whom he recognizes as at least resembling his older self; he simply raises eyebrows at him.

No doubt Waver's heard it all before, so whether he chooses to engage or just keep on going is up to him.]
