It may have been word of mouth. It could have been one of the many notes Reno left on doors or on beds (and in some cases, foreheads) of those he knew to be members or trusted. Or it could have been just as simple as a friend grabbing another for a 'walk.' The notes read, "Meeting. Morning, Jan 20th." There is no location, or any hint of any; Reno suspects most people will get the idea to go there, simply because it wasn't mentioned. It isn't supposed to exist, after all.

[Once everyone is there and done with the pre-meeting jitters, Reno's just going to grab attention by whistling until everyone falls silent. He seems... rather nervous under the professional mask, if one looks closely enough.]

[Oh look, grumpy's wall-lurking again.

Anyone paying attention might notice that his clothes are slightly different - free of the emblems that used to adorn them - and he's still wearing the dangly garnet hairpins at his temples. Looks like they're a constant companion, now. If the lighting's good, they might also notice the slight scarring on the left side of his face; looks like claw marks around his eye.]

late on the 20th, post-meeting, first floor dorms - closed to Reno

[There's at least one person Reno invited that did not show up, despite seeing the note slipped under the door of 1-16 earlier in the day. Rick is definitely not in a state that's conducive to being social--he doubts his presence at the meeting will be either helpful or welcome--so the note is quietly discarded and the meeting soon forgotten as he sleeps away the afternoon.]

[But Reno is nothing if not persistent, it seems.]

Shion is not mingling, he is stood at the side watching. Not really wanting to be here but knowing he couldn't avoid everyone. Hadn't he lectured Reno about that very thing just a week or so before.

So he was here and watching, notes in arms as he jotted down who was here and anything else he thought important.

Reno placed a hand on his shoulder, coming up to stand next to him. He doesn't speak though, just an acknowledgement of his presence there. Comfort wasn't just verbal, after all.

[It's a soft knock at his door, but if Rick think Reno's going to leave, he's got another thing coming.]

Rick.

[Rick hears him, but assumes he's dreaming and doesn't answer.]

[Making an irritated huff, he tries the door because he knows Rick's got to be in there.]

[The door is unlocked and opens to a dark room, unkempt by normal standards and a wreck by Rick's, smelling faintly of stale clothes and cold soup, nibbled at but abandoned. The resident responsible for this is a lump curled up under the covers of a corner bed, staring blankly at the wall on the opposite side of the room. His glasses are in one hand hanging limply off the mattress, as if he considered putting them on and getting up, but lacked the energy to do so and gave up halfway.]

[Rick's eyes drift towards the entrance and he squints at the bright light coming in, but otherwise doesn't react to the blurry figure walking inside.]

Shion leaned into the touch, not looking up from his notes but glad to have Reno there.

"Your recruiting went well then..." There was more people, which was good. More people working together, it could only mean more chances at fighting the administrators.

"I haven't recruited anybody. If they're here, it's because they want to be." The last person Reno had spoken to about recruiting had been Diarmuid. The rest of the people... that's up to them. "I was resting, remember?"

"But that means people know about it still..." He told him, leaning in more. "It's good that they want to be here."

[She'd followed a few people here out of curiosity. The notes weren't too hard to miss and of course Arturia, in her daily trek through the Tower, had come across them.

She stood in the back quietly, her sketchbook filled with maps hugged to her chest as she observed everyone with sharp eyes, wondering what, specifically, this was about.]

[And when he whistles, he has Arturia's attention. Ah. So he must be the leader here.]

Closed to Reno

*Well, he missed the meeting itself due to his tendency to sleep deeply and later than anyone raised in an agricultural society has any right to sleep. (He used to be such an early riser too. The tower really can break anything...)

But he does spot Reno when he pops in to check on the chipped units, as he often does, and approaches him.*

Good morning, Reno.

Hey, Enoch. Huh, is it still morning?

[Other things kind of held his attention, for the most part. He's not going to beat himself up though.]

[midgarhorizon]

New clothes?

[Just Reno, checking in with Asch. Now that Reno thinks about it... he hasn't spoken to Asch in a long time. Also, yep, he noticed that scarring...]

What happened to you?

[midgarhorizon]

"It's all some of us got left." Though, he didn't qualify what he meant; it seemed vague enough that it could mean a fairly large amount of things, but being Reno, he had something specific in mind.

"Reno?" And Shion being Shion knew Reno and knew that he meant it in more of a vague sense. He looked at him, his face calm though his eyes held worry.

Squeezing Shion's shoulder in a comforting way he usually reserved for training sessions or pep talks, Reno shook his head. "Didn't mean anything by that. Just meant some of us are feelin' the time pinch already."

Hello [Shion's voice is quite quiet but he is stood near her, papers and pen in his hand] Are you here for the meeting?

"Well there's not long left..." A terrifying thought, and Shion had to pause in order to stop his mind from panicking. "But there is still time. Five months is quite a lot."

Elena is taking a page out of Shion's notebook, hanging back from the crowd. Clothes are as clean as she can get them, blood stains now faint shades of brown. She's been busy since her meeting with Reno, which means that her left arm is still in a splint, resting in a sling.

She's quiet when she sides up next to him, leaning just slightly to look down at his notes.

"You've got pretty decent hand-writing. Far better than Reno's anyway."
