[It remains to be seen. Though you never know, Veronica might be thanked for the tip later. He'll have to observe this void-hopping in others first before he can formulate how he can use it to his advantage.

There is no hiding the defensive nature of his own posture, however.]

Yeah, t-they're a p-problem sometimes.

[Nope, she can't control it. It just happens. At the very least, it happens more often than you getting struck by lightening.

And yes, anything other than the current predicament. Especially the hospital gowns.]

[More often than getting struck by lightning in a Tower where such a thing might be considered fun by a particular Admin.

He should just turn and go now, but he doesn't trust Veronica not to then launch an attack at him and if anything can be said for the 'more modest' hospital gowns - they certainly do nothing but heighten ones sense of self-consciousness, it's not going to protect him in any way from that sword Veronica holds. Sephiroth is trying to care less just how much the attire they've been put in washes out his image, brings them all down to be of equal footing and uncomfortable to boot. Undoubtedly these are a few of the the purposes behind it.]

[Slowly but surely, Veronica started to step past the swordsman, sword still kept in a death grip in case the man tried something of his own. Out of everyone in the maze, she probably trusted him the least.]

I'll b-be... g-going now.

[Sephiroth even appears to breathe in against the wall to let Veronica have extra room to get passed him. His grip on the sword doesn't let up one iota though. He fully expects Veronica to take some sort of initiative, and will continue to think so until she is at least a few long strides away from him.

He is silent throughout this whole process, and will only speak in her direction once there is a safe distance between the two of them again.]

[After all, Veronica is one of a handful of other Hunters that Sephiroth would naturally target once allowed to thin the competition.]
