[Even if Sephiroth could still overpower the kid by way of literal physics, he has the hunt to be preserving his energy for. Besides, the rules had stated hunters couldn't turn on each other until the first two prey were killed. Sephiroth doesn't want to be the one to test at the rules, bad things tended to happen when Ruana felt someone was cheating at her game.

Besides, he could win this, fair and square.

What a light-addled fool, he imagines Nesir would have said, and it is such an accurate way of putting it. Typical hypocrisy all the way, putting ones so-called friends on a plateau when really it's the morality behind protecting them that props up so many otherwise insignificant personalities.

He's learned his lesson, however a bitter one it might be. He hasn't crossed me in a long time, and right now at least we all have more pressing matters at hand.

Sephiroth can't help but to crook an eyebrow as a nutrition bar comes sailing through the air at him. He doesn't know how to take the sentiment though, it doesn't feel like a peace offering, more like a reward one would give a pet for doing what it's owner wanted.

It's not appreciated but if Ken is giving up what might be his last nutrition bar later in the game, Sephiroth will take it. He catches it neatly in his right hand.]

[He looks over his shoulder to make sure no one's behind him, and backs up to a turn in the maze and heads around the corner before finally turning and running down the corridor.]
