[It was a lot to think about, and Sora could still barely keep any of it straight.]
Have you been thinking about what you saw, too?

[He grimaces, gripping at the fabric over his thigh.]
I mean, now it's all a haze-- flew by too fast to grasp everything, but doesn't that make it worse?
no subject
[Not because he didn't want to know, but because it has just been too much. When it was happening, he remembered being overwhelmed - like that everything was happening all at once and he had been swept away by it all. If he tried to keep all of that in his head, it felt like he wouldn't have a head to keep it in anymore.]
But I wish I knew just a little bit more, too. I still have a lot of questions, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to answer all of them.

[What if some of the visions were important? What if they could help him on the off chance they do restore the worlds? The images he saw-- some were just so bright. His friends all together again, no tower in sight. Reuniting with Sora-- his Sora-- and exploring worlds the way they had dreamed before fat stomped all over their hopes.
Riku slouches, shoulders sagging by a hair. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but...]
You think any of those visions are true?
no subject
[He had never thought about it before, not in terms of whether or not it was all real. He just felt that someway, somehow, they all had to be.]
I mean, there are lots and lots of worlds like ours, right? So even if they weren't all true for us...then they've gotta be true for some other version of us, right?
no subject
[Heh. Riku looks down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them.]
I guess that means we're not guaranteed those futures... even the good ones.
[Maybe that's a touch cynical, but the fact is, they won't really know until the future's staring them in the face. A premonition won't solve anything; they're the ones who'll have to carve out their destinies.]
no subject
[And that thought is a mixed bag, because if the good futures are all happening somewhere, then the bad ones probably are, too. But for every bad thing, there had to be something good to even it out somewhere else.
At least, that's how Sora wanted to see it.]
It would be pretty neat if we could know for sure, though, huh?
