Summary: ~~When two busybodies start plotting, all hell breaks loose.~~ "Waver's Anniversary" (or more informally known as Waver and Diarmuid's wedding party.) It's just a party. Nothing to see here. That cake is white just by... accident... and decorated to match the rings... yeeeeeeep... complete accident.
Warnings: Someone may decide to drown a couple people... who knows.

[In case someone is observant enough to notice, Waver and Diarmuid have been wearing matching rings... and under the disguise of a convenient excuse, that being Waver's one year anniversary in the Tower, Lancer and Reno have thrown a party to celebrate.

Keeping the relationship a perfect secret, of course. It's just a party. Good times, shooting the breeze, card games. Unfortunately, there's no booze. The lounge has been set up with a buffet with food from the Floor Sixty Kitchen, and there's a cake.

The cake happens to be white, and decorated. And that celtic knot decoration may just be matching the rings. Complete accident, of course.]

[Rick offers a wide smile, heavy with blush--tired, certainly, and that worried crinkle in his brow is probably permanent at this point, but he does look genuinely happy to see Reno around.]

...B-Better. [He lets out a huff of laughter. Relatively speaking.] You?

Just fine. Wondering how your habits are keepin' up. Still going running?

[He pales slightly.]

...N-Not...l-lately, no. [Rick nervously chews on his bottom lip.] L-Last m-m-month w-wasn't, ah...

["I wasn't human long enough to properly utilize the track," he almost says but can't quite manage.]

[Reno eyes the broken arm.]

Eh, don't worry about it if it's bothering that. Just try keepin' active and go walking, that kinda thing.

[Rick follows his eyes and the blush returns.]

--I-I'll be b-better s-s-soon. [Because that's obviously what Reno was meaning to imply--that Rick's injury is accounting for his laziness. But he doesn't want to be lazy, he wants to help! Please understand, Reno!] I-I'm--I'm d-d-doing w-what I c-can.

I know. You been seeing a healer about that?

[No answer; just a nervous shuffling of his feet. Oops.]
