Format: Party style, whichever format you prefer
Summary: When two busybodies start plotting, all hell breaks loose. "Waver's Anniversary" (or more informally known as Waver and Diarmuid's wedding party.) It's just a party. Nothing to see here. That cake is white just by... accident... and decorated to match the rings... yeeeeeeep... complete accident.
Warnings: Someone may decide to drown a couple people... who knows.

[In case someone is observant enough to notice, Waver and Diarmuid have been wearing matching rings... and under the disguise of a convenient excuse, that being Waver's one year anniversary in the Tower, Lancer and Reno have thrown a party to celebrate.

Keeping the relationship a perfect secret, of course. It's just a party. Good times, shooting the breeze, card games. Unfortunately, there's no booze. The lounge has been set up with a buffet with food from the Floor Sixty Kitchen, and there's a cake.

The cake happens to be white, and decorated. And that celtic knot decoration may just be matching the rings. Complete accident, of course.]

[...well, this wasn't what Yukiko was expecting when she got off the elevator. She recognizes enough people around that she approaches, bringing her hand up to wave, but then? Then she sees the cake.

Now, as an innkeeper's daughter, she's seen cakes in her time. Yes, the Amagi Inn tended towards traditional Japanese sweets, but that doesn't mean she hasn't seen a Western-style wedding cake before now. That? That is definitely a wedding cake. The big question, then, is 'who's getting married?'

She looks around, but she's not seeing a dress to match that cake. That just means even more questions.

Yukiko, they've finally done it. A whole year in this place, and Reno is the one that's sent me careening over the edge into 'completely fucking mental'. He set this whole thing up to fuck with my head, I'm sure of it.

[Okay, okay, time to stop laughing. She's trying, but that mental image is hilarious. Yukiko takes a couple of deep breaths through her giggles, but it's hard.

That is a very good question. I have no idea who here would know how to bake that well, and do it without anyone knowing. Though I guess that upstairs kitchen is big enough that our mystery baker could do it easily enough without getting interrupted.

I think we assumed that they know each other?

I'm glad to hear it, especially after all of the chaos these past couple of weeks. It's been crazy, hasn't it?

'Crazy' is a minor way to put it. [Jason being killed isn't exactly something he will easily get used to.]

That's true. It's still hard to believe what I saw, though there's not much sense in denying it. It's just another link in the chain of constant traumatic things.

[She isn't shrugging to make light of it; it's an 'it is what it is' shrug.]

Not much we can do now, other than move on. I've been thinking of asking Aria about any data Jason might have had on the world-destroying virus. I'm no scientist myself, but if we can put it in the right hands, we might be able to figure things out ourselves, on that front.
