Teach the world
Characters: Open!
Setting: March 12th, secret floor
Format: whatever you want!
Summary: The hacking was apparently successful! After writing out his transcriptions into longhand, Enoch is ready to give everyone their due. A couple of people had a terrible time of things, after all, and he owes it to them.
Warnings: Nothing yet!
*At first he'd hidden his transcriptions and awaited punishment, spending what remained of that day and the next snatching up cups and plates and utensils from the cafeteria, storing them in the secret room. Whatever their punishment, they would be ready for this much, at least. After seeing what Xion and Richtofen had to go through to get what information they did, in particular, he owed it to his team.
When no punishment came, his first instinct was to worry. To anyone else, it may seem like perfectly natural paranoia - no punishment? That's too good to be true - but what Enoch hadn't told anyone about was his talk with Riki. He knew why it had been so easy to get where they needed to go. He had said not to spare them punishment to maintain his appearance. To avoid a repeat of what had happened to Dax. And after what had happened at Mitchell's terminal, he knew there was no excuse, no saying he hadn't known they were in there.
But in spite of his worry, he went on with the plan. He wound up enlisting the help of Asch and Lucifel along the way. So there was food better than what Zo had served (but there was a plate of dino nuggets anyway), mostly soups, stews, and bread. Lucifel had made cushions for the chairs and a tablecloth for the table he'd set up.
The table is set up by a wall where everything he's transcribed has been posted where the call to form a team once had been. He's working on making more copies even as he eats, but he's contributed, too - there are five bottles of red wine on the table from a prior month. A sixth is set apart from the others, with Richtofen's name on it, and because Xion is so much smaller, she gets a half-filled one. (Where did the other half of that bottle go? Who knows!) For him, personally, he's got a bottle of apple cider from Rick, and takes sips from it now and again as he writes.
There's still much to do, but this is an important step and food has always helped encourage morale and discussion.*
((ooc: From this point on, anyone is free to handwave knowing any of this information. Also this is the last time I use hideously inappropriate music for my titles and cut text, I swear!))

Open, of course

...so, does the fact that you're here mean things went okay, when you all tried getting in?

Wow. You weren't kidding...but I take it that there's more bad news than good news?

*He shakes his head.*
She tells Zo which is about to be destroyed next. It's deliberate.

I'm so sorry I have no idea where all these words came from
never apologize; these are lovely words

[Although the fact that something might happen in retaliation was also on his mind. Staying in the tower did that to someone.]
I wanted to come help and transcribe. More hands are useful, right? Since I've never been a good hacker, it's the least I could do.

Naoya looks at them before he realizes they are missing materials, and he holds up a hand.]
I'll go get one.
[Haha good one, self. He comes back a while later, with not one but TWO pens in his hands.]
Sorry. Hopefully you've still got some work left for me.

*He smiles and gestures to the public copies he's already put up.* You can copy from those, if you'd like, or you can borrow one of these I've already done.

Lucifel. We did it! We have his research!

... and you got away with it?

That being said, talking and eating is still a bit of a trial, even though she's been doing some healing on her own mouth to the point where she can do it, though anybody talking with her might notice her wincing; also when she eats (she's particularly partial to the soups), sometimes the spoon hits the right spots and she grimaces too.
When she sees her bottle of wine though, she looks closely, sniffs at it, remembers the last time she encountered alcohol, and leaves it there, maybe offers it to Reno when she sees him.
She can also be found hovering a lot around a certain computer terminal, the one in particular where they brought the AI that they rescued to. She shouldn't hover, she really shouldn't but... she's worried about him. And she wants to make sure that anybody who tries to talk to the AI treats him nicely. To that end, if anyone is to approach the PC where the AI is? Unless she's distracted, she'll move to intercept them.
Near the end of the party, she'll start wearing down, finding one of the chairs with pillows and curling up on it. If it gets late enough, she might even end up putting her head down and napping a little, feeling honestly safe for one of the first times in a long while. Still, someone should probably wake her up before it gets too dark.]
at the wine table, obvs
Come on he cooked for hours for you guys.So yeah, hi Xion, hope you don't mind an awkward redhead at your shoulder eyeballing that bottle and the glasses next to it. He'll at least announce himself, though, since he likes you.]
I take it things went well.
[She's smiling and happy and not horribly injurede, which, only the last one is really required to count something as "going well" in the tower. Asch hasn't looked over the notes much yet - there'll be plenty of time to go over them later, with fewer people around.]
Re: at the wine table, obvs
Her speech might sound a little odd, slurred perhaps, but that's owing more to trying to talk without moving her sore lips too much.]
Better than I thought it would. We found what we were looking for.
[She's smiling though, and there's a bit of a different tone to her voice. Because what they were looking for wasn't all they found.]

And gotten away with it too, it looks like.
[Which they shouldn't be ungrateful for, even if it is probably only because Zo is the one in charge this month.]
I imagine everyone will be pouring over it for the next few days, figuring out what it means.
near dark
But he arrived eventually and found Xion mostly asleep. He smiled softly and went over to her] Xion?

Hey Shion.
[She reaches a hand out to grasp his, if he'll let her.]

around the AI's terminal?
You seem pleased, though I certainly cannot say it is without good reason.
[Regardless of the unsettling picture Dax's research paints regarding the nature of the 'virus,' the fact that they have that information is reason enough to celebrate.]
Yes! :D
Did you see? We... we found someone. While we were working.
[And they got him out. They saved him.]
oh my god she's so happy so precious
['Artificial Intelligence' is unfortunately not a part of her vocabulary, despite being stuck in a downright futuristic setting in comparison to her homeworld for over two years, and she struggles for a moment to come up with a substitute.]
The one who asked you for a password, correct? I did see that, and you... transported him somehow?
[The technicalities of the whole operation are clearly beyond her, but she asks with more curiosity than confusion. Xion seems happy about it, after all, so it shouldn't be something to be too alarmed over.]

Instead he'll just keep watch over her while she does. Old habits die hard and even in this place, Naoya tends to be ever-vigilant.]

What to call it... him... whatever they identified themselves with, by?
It was when he looked in Xion's direction.]
Do they go by a name or will we have to refer it to as "Dax's AI"?

You don't like wine?
