Summary: You have been transported out of the Tower, and you must return quickly.

It's pitch black here, though the ground is made of dirt and the Tower gleaming in the distance provides at least a sign that light exists somewhere. It's completely silent. It feels as if things might jump out at you--but that's probably your imagination.

[Admittedly, there is a moment of surprise at the revelation that Tobias' true (or truest, as the case may be) form is, in fact, a hawk, but it is quickly shoved aside in favor of practicality. Having someone who can still fly could be very handy indeed.]

Thank you, Tobias; that would be a great help. When we begin to move, could you also occasionally check to make certain everyone is keeping up? Even in the dark, I imagine you would have a better view from the air than those of us on the ground.

<Sure. I was kind of planning on doing that anyway.>

[There's a pause, a quirk of his head, and then -]

<Are you okay?>

I am fine.

[Said in that stiff, too-quick way that really means she's far from it. But she can't let her fear show. She bows her head in gratitude.]

Thank you. You have my shoulder should you need to rest.

[It's not hard for him to hear it, but he won't call her out on it.]

<I appreciate it. Let me know if you need anything, okay? I can hear people pretty well. And unless I want to talk to multiple people at once, only you can hear me right now.>

[He's quiet for a moment, before 'speaking' again.]

<You're not the only one here who's dealt with a lot. No one can deal with this kind of stuff alone. As much as that makes me sound like a hypocrite... still. Just let me know.>

[With that, he starts flapping again, working hard to get some altitude.]

[She's silent, contemplative, for a long moment after that, and Tobias might have even managed to take off before she quietly responds.]

I will.

[Years ago, she wouldn't have. She would have kept everything, good and bad, locked up tightly inside where no one who could possibly be counting on her could see. But she's a different woman now, and now she understands just how important it is to let people in, to have people to lean on. She refuses to go back to that lonely existence she lead for most of her life.

They have to get back to the Tower.]
