For Thine Is; Part One

Characters: anyone outside of the Tower
Setting: outside
Format: any
Summary: You have been transported out of the Tower, and you must return quickly.
Warnings: psychological horror

It's pitch black here, though the ground is made of dirt and the Tower gleaming in the distance provides at least a sign that light exists somewhere. It's completely silent. It feels as if things might jump out at you--but that's probably your imagination.

[The mention of Feferi is what gets Zelda to perk up from her position at the front of the group. She doesn't know the words to this rebellious sounding song, but she remembers the troll princess. Quite fondly, in fact. And so Enoch's singing gets a quiet smile--

... wait, is that seriously who she thinks it is?

It totally is.

Asch can sing, who knew.

After a good few moments of craning her neck up and over the crowd (and trying not to trip as she continues moving), she returns her attention forward. From up front her voice is not likely to carry back very well, but she does start to sing along in wordless accompaniment, a slight grin on her face. The lyrics may be beyond her for now, and she may normally prefer to create music with an instrument rather than her voice, but she does a decent enough job supporting the melody. Music was a significant part of her training growing up, after all.]

[She never heard of this Feferi, nor know the words to the song, but hearing it did make her curious. Because she certainly recognises the tune.]

Oh, I have heard this song before, but not with these words...

[It was just a comment to herself, since it's not like she could join in. But she hums and wordlessly sings along, just like Zelda does; if it will help lift spirits, then she will do it.]

EVERYBODY SING

[Well, the half-sung accompaniments are something, at least. Asch continues to carry the melody on his own, but it does seem like he's found his stride.]

Our blood, sweat, and tears will bring forth our resolve - that's our stance!

Do you hear this Tower sing?
Singing a song that's writ in green
It is a music of a people
Stronger than you've ever seen

When the beating of your heart
Starts to be more than you can take
Show them you're strong, and play your part
I know you won't break!

[Give it a few beats and then he'll repeat it - there's no good in a marching song if you only sing it once, after all.]

[Luke is about as much of a professional singer as Asch is, possibly less, but he's somewhat-willing to join in this singing thing, halfway through the verse. His voice is not exactly the same as Asch's, but close enough that it sounds a bit like Asch got louder.]

*The others singing jogs his memory and he recalls the first bit of the song. His stride lengthens and he approaches the front of the group.*

Once more!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
When all this glamour fades, is there a world you've longed to see?
Then join in the fight that will give us the right to be free!

*And more confident now, he launches right into the refrain he'd remembered before, turning around to walk backwards, arms raised to encourage the people behind him. Once he gets going in song or dance (or battle), he gets into it.*

Do you hear this tower sing,
Singing a song that's writ in green?
It is the singing of a people
Stronger than you've ever seen
