Characters: Tetra an OPEN
Setting: multiple locations
Format: action spam
Summary: Tetra's spent a couple of week on the remnants of her world and now she's back.
Warnings: None yet, will update if this changes
[Dorm Room 01-09]
[She hadn't quite expected to wake up in her bed in the tower but she did. It was better than the tireless, hungerless wasteland that as her world though. For awhile she just lays in her bed and, oddly, takes comfort in being here instead of there.
Eventually gets up though, checks her things to make sure no one got nosy while she was gone and then leaves her room.]
[Floor 33]
[Tetra... isn't one for farming. She's still more suited to the sea, to getting food when they stop at different islands or raid other ships, but it's nice to stop once in awhile and see if anyone else is making use of it. Someday, she might try her hand at it. If only to keep herself from getting bored (which didn't frequently happen with the tower and its administrators) while they still had time to live.
And it was pretty neat to see plants and food actually growing, even if it is just glamour.]
[Floor 25 - closed to Zelda]
[Training with Zelda. She's still not used to it, probably never will be, but Zelda was experienced and had a lot she could teach the younger princess. She found her vest, tank top and shorts from among her things. The clothes showed the wear and tear of two years in the tower, several places clearly patched by someone who isn't used to things like sewing.
And then she headed to the meadow floor. There was plenty of space there for them both, somewhere that Tetra wouldn't have to worry about hurting anyone accidentally.]
[Floor 14]
[Sometimes you just need a little bit of fun. That's what brought Tetra to the fourteenth floor where she starts poking through the collection of movies and games for something to watch or play. Maybe Link or someone will come by and play a game with her.]

Instead she looked at the movies and games Tetra was poking at. She had seen these... Things before, but their use eluded her. ]
Excuse me, would you know what these objects are?
no subject
She pauses for a moment, glancing at the other girl before picking up one of the cases.]
Movies and video games. For entertainment.
no subject
But then, "movies and video games." ... She had whatsoever no idea what movies and video games were. And yet this girl had said that with such simplicity, as if it was common knowledge. ]
... I see. [ She looked at the case Tetra was holding for a while. Not knowing something that simply was sort of humiliating. ] And how do you use these "video games," if I may ask?
no subject
I'll show you.
[She spreads them all out again, making sure each title can be clearly read before she leans back and gives Hilda the chance to read them.]
Pick one.
no subject
[ Hilda looks at them attentively-- All these name sounds weird and unpromising. She ends up chosing one however, and point it out to Tetra. ]
This one.
[ The cases she points out got the title Iron Gear Liquid 2: Sons of Anarchy. The title is stupid but this should do. ]
no subject
I'll show you how to play and then you can try, alright? It's not too hard.
no subject
Not to mention her pushing a few buttons at random may be messing up with the start screen. ]
Is this some sort of competitive game?
[ Since they each have a controller it got to be, right? ]
no subject
It can be but it has a cooperative option too. And since you never played before, that'll be easier. Your character won't die as much.
no subject
... Fine. But I doubt my "character" would die much in the first place.
no subject
You've never even heard of a video game so I know you've never played one. Which means you're inexperienced. And inexperienced players have a higher death count.
no subject
[ Incredibly rude. EXCUSE you yourself, ruler of a kingdom that doesn't even exist yet. Hilda chooses not to comment on the matter, save for a brief word. ]
I learn quickly. [Then she turns her attention back to the screen.] When do we begin?
no subject
Here. [She hits a few buttons, selecting two-player mode and starts.] It's a stealth game so try not to kill everything.
no subject
It sounds strange. [She hits a few button as well-- It doesn't take thirty seconds before her character makes enough noise to alert a guard. That and she doesn't manage to equip any weapons. And her character is hopelessly running into a wall. That is, when she doesn't accidentally trigger the pause mode.] ... Something is wrong with this 'game'. It is not working correctly.
[ Said on an already irritated tone. The only logical explanation really. ]
no subject
Hindsight is always 20/20.]
There's nothing wrong with the game. You just don't know how to play.
no subject
Before long (hear, ten more seconds), Hilda's character would drop dead on the ground. Which prompted her to look at the screen with a scowl of her own for a second. This was enraging ]
... What is the meaning of this? [Even she could realize what her character making a scream and falling dead meant. She pushed the buttons angrily and barely managed not to throw her controller into the screen.] This game is making a mockery of me. I shall not stand to play it any longer.
[ She took on a neutral tone and expression to say this, but what could you do, the irritation was obvious in her voice. ]
no subject
That's how the game is. It's not mocking anyone. [Jeez.]
Maybe video games aren't for you. Let's try a movie.
no subject
What is a movie?
no subject
It's like a pictograph but it moves and has sound.
no subject
Could you please show me one?
no subject
Sure.
[She grabs a pile of movies and looks through them, settling on a comedy eventually and putting it in.]
no subject
I have no recollection of magic looking this way and these people speak in a most... Unnatural manner. I do believe the people here are acting a scene.
[ It's not captain obvious or anything. But heh, that sort of technology would be confusing to anyone. ]
no subject
That's... exactly what a movie is. People acting for the entertainment of an audience.
no subject
It was entertaining. [Her tone may make this hard to believe, though she softens down a bit.] I thank you for your patience in showing me these artifacts, Lady...?
[ They had yet to introduce each other after all.]
(I fail, feel free to drop this if you want)
Spoilers, it's Monty Python and the Holy Grail.]Tetra. Princess Tetra of Hyrule.
no subject
You must be the one he mentioned... [The young Link that is. She didn't look as much like the other Zeldas-- Yet again, this was probably due to her age and clothing style.] My apologies. I am Hilda, Princess and Sovereign of Lorule Kingdom.
