Cue Mission Impossible Soundtrack

Setting: Room 1-01 and Anywhere else in the Tower

Summary: Echidna's on a mission to root out the truth behind this conundrum and attempts to be the best damn spy this place has ever seen. Results may vary.
Warnings: The most ridiculous AU ever

At first she thought she would be late to class when her alarm clock didn't wake her up. And then she thought ...well she didn't know what to think when she saw the white ceiling that was suspiciously not her own. When she could move, she wasted no time getting to action; she had read the note and passed it off as silly. Was this one of Tammy's LARP games or something? It was pretty hardcore for something she'd play.

First step; get out of the jumpsuit. Who knows what that was used for, it could have been reading her body signs or something! She was glad to find her things in her trunk, and had quickly changed into a shirt, skirt, a pair of boots and threw on one of her coats. Second step was the matter of the collar; on the one hand, it could have contained poison, but on the other hand, it might have had a dead-man fail safe that killed her if she tried to remove it. best to leave that be for now.

Her primary concern became trying to find any bugs or hidden cameras in the room. She...wasn't exactly a spy master (as much as that'd be really freaking cool), but she could at least try! And that making a stack of books to stand up and getting real up close and scrutinizing every possible corner in the room ever.

Next on the list; figure out what this place was exactly! Echidna was a far cry from believing any of this apocalyptic nonsense, and so it was off into the tower she went exploring, trying to find any eye or antennae of their creator. She liked to think she was sneaky, looking around corner before going down hallways and peaking down stairwells before descending but her...rather bright choice in fashion was an easy give-away and made her pretty noticeable.

(OOC: You know the drill, just let me know wherever else in the tower you want to be~)

Her ninja mission possibly could've been successful if she hadn't gotten distracted. Because Oh. My. Gosh. That was the best costume she'd ever seen and holy crap those moves that is so cool!!

So yeah she's basically distracted watching Link practice for a bit, attempting to hide on the staircase, before she popped up onto the floor unable to contain her excitement.]

Oh my gosh, that is so cool!!

[ Oh, there is a girl running up to her. She lowers her sword and shield, blinking--honestly, she keeps getting such strange reactions here, she wonders why that is.

... She can only assume the girl means "cool" not in the sense of the temperature. A compliment, then? ]

Ah... thank you.

[ She's a Hylian of few words, though she is quietly assessing whether or not she knows this girl. Maybe she's new? ]

[Unluckily for Link, Echidna could do enough talking for the both of them, and probably a talk show host.]

Where did you learn to do that?!-- Are those real...?! [She asked, gesturing towards the sword and shield.]

[ ... Why do people keep asking her these odd questions, she doesn't even. ]

... I learned on my own.

[ As for the second question, that gets a nod. She is fairyless, unfortunately, or this is probably where Navi and Echidna would never. Shut. Up. ]

It would be wise if you armed yourself as well--this tower is very dangerous.

[ Can't have you plucky kids running around getting hurt. ]

[~~Echidna and Navi would be the best friends ever just saying~~]

You taught yourself how to do that?! [Whooooah.]

[Her amazement and fangirl-yness is distracted however, at the next thought.] Dangerous? What do you mean? Did someone fall off the top or break one of the windows or something?

[ She frowns, deciding the danger of the tower is far more important than how she was fairly good with a blade. ]

... No. I mean that there are many creatures in this tower that would bring you harm... and that the people who took you here may bring you to harm as well.

Creatures? [Well now this is just silly.] What do they have, some kind of mutant blobs or something? I'm not afraid of some silly monsters~! Or the weirdos that set this place up!

[ ... The Hylian has never met a child so unaware to the danger around her. Perhaps because as a child, she herself grew up around a very dangerous world, even in her safe haven, she recognized that there were dangers in the woods at night. She sighs, sheathing the Master Sword and tucking away her shield on her back before she sits on a nearby stone. ]

It's unwise to boast unless you can support a claim--do you think you can fight off the Phantoms that appear on this floor on your own? If so, I have no need to lecture you, I am sure.

[ She is not used to talking to anyone like this, and it is odd to say this much for her, to be frank. Though... she manages a small smile, nonetheless. ]

But it is wise not to fear the ones who took us, as I imagine that would be what they desire.

[When you lived in a big house in an average city, there weren't exactly many dangers to prepare you for anything, sadly.]

Phantoms? [Her head tilted to the side in curiosity.] Ghosts are intangible though, why would you need to fight them?

[Kind of missing the point a bit. But whatever, Link smiled, so she smiled back!] The only thing to fear is fear itself, right? Franklin Roosevelt~! Even if there is bad stuff, crying isn't going to get anywhere, right? [Not that she really believed there was anything particularly dangerous..]

[ Link blinks, tilting her head. ]

I'm afraid I have not heard of that person, though being upset would not aid anyone.

[ But she considers for a moment Echidna's first remark. ]

There is a different between the creatures here and the undead. The ones I have fought in my home can turn intangible at will, however, should you try a direct approach. A friend of mine is quite versed in creatures, I am sure she would know how the ones here operate better than I.

Oh! He was one of the presidents of the United States back during World War 2. A lot of people liked him and I think he said that when he was talking about the war when a lot of people were scared of being attacked.

[Echidna listened attentively, her eyes widening a bit in surprise.] You have actually seen real ghosts?! That is so cool!!! [Probably not something she should be excited about, but she's excited anyway.]

Ooh, who is it? I would love to learn more about them~!! [Seriously SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.]

[ Have a blink. ]

I'm... afraid I don't know what any of those are. I apologize.

[ She is from an entirely different world and land, Echidna. She does not even know what a president IS. ]

However, I would love to introduce you, but she did not accompany me here. Her name is Navi, she's a fairy, and my partner.

Uuuuuh.... [For a minute she was at a loss. She had instances where people didn't know what she was talking about, but usually not those things!]

OK! So, the United States is a country in North America. It is very big and compromises fifty different individual states. A president is the person that runs the entire country, while the individual states also have their own individual rulers, which are called governors. And World War 2 was a GIANT conflict [and she extended her arms out here to emphasize] that encompassed almost all of the countries in the entire world in some way!

[After that little spiel though, she smiled, which quickly changed to a frown.] Oh, I am sorry...! I have a friend who is not here either....

[--Wait a minute.] You have a friend that is a fairy?!

[ She does listen intently to every word, blinking and tilting her head a bit. ]

So you do not have a King who rules your people? I'm afraid I've never heard of your world before now.

[ So yeah that's probably what's causing confusion all around. Still, Link dismisses some of it off-hand. ]

And... yes, I do. Are they not common where you live?

[ Well, Link does recall hearing one England talk to her about how most people don't see magic or anything, so... ]

Nope! We used to have Kings and I there are some countries that still do. A president is kind of like a King except he is chosen by the people!

[~DEMOCRACY~]

[Echidna excitedly shook her head.] No! Well, there are stories about them and they exist in fairytales, but I did not think they were real or really existed!

[ She tilts her head, but asks no further. While she is curious, the subject of fairies not being real is practically impossible to her to imagine. ]

They're very real. ... I have one with me.

[ Let her just... pull out her bottled fairy with this pink glowing ball of light with wings in it from her pouch.

Tadaaa. Cool, huh, Echidna?]

[THE COOLEST THING EVER. And it shows, because the minute she sees the fairy, her face lights up with surprise and amazement.]

Oh my gosh...!! [And for once she's too amazed to say much else, so she'll just stare at the ball of light in shock and awe.]

[ She has no idea why Echidna is so surprised, but have an amused smile. ]

... Your world sounds very strange.

[ Link can't help but be amused at her amazement. ]

My name is Link, by the way. It is nice to see someone appreciate fairies as I do.

[ Every fairy was special and deserved to be taken care of. She hated bottling them, but it was a must for the wild ones. ]

[Once she got over her shock, she was giggling happily at the fairy. She even carefully held out her hands toward the fairy to try and touch it, or let it land on her palm like as if it were a little firefly.] I heard stories about fairies and stuff like that ever since I was little, and I always wished they were real~!

Oh! My name is Echidna! It is nice to meet you, Mr. Link!

[ Heh.. She has to be careful, of course, but once Echidna is done with the fairy, she makes sure to gently coax it back into the bottle. ]

Echidna is a nice name.

[ Have a smile. ]

They're very real where I am from... it is a shame they are not for you, however.

[She gave a small wave to the fairy when Link coaxed it back into the bottle, before straightening up and folding her hands behind her back.]

Hee, thank you! To be honest I think my parents named me after some spikey anteater, but sometimes I think it is nice. I like your name too~! ~~[Dumbass never played Legend of Zelda]~~

[She pouted just a bit.] I always wished they were.... When I was little I even had a little doll of one! But seeing them here and being real is just as good!

[ ~~PROBABLY for the better, or the brainbreak might be worse.~~ ]

... Thank you. I... don't remember my mother or father, personally.

[ Hmmm. ]

For what it's worth, I did not have a fairy of my own for a very long time, though I had always desired one. Navi came to me not by her own free will, per se... it was mostly because it was asked of her. Though I do not believe she would mind visiting my friends.

[ Like you, Echidna. It's not much, but... ]

Oh...! I am sorry. [A small frown, whoops, what is proper socializing.]

Um, if it makes you feel any better I did not know my real parents either. I was adopted when I was really little and never knew them! [And back to smiles!] But I love the mom and dad I know anyway!

[And another giggle. She is always full of giggles.] Sadly I do not think I can get my own fairy since that is not really normal where I live. But even if yours was asked to be friends with you I am sure she still likes you~!
