Format: any
Summary: A general mingle for all characters throughout the Tower.
Warnings: Standard Animus warnings; please note anything specific in the subject headers of your threads

I'm not going to get out of it, am I? All right. I promise I will talk to Ken or Yukiko when I see they are free. How's that?
[If nothing else, should Diarmuid still needs healing when Waver has recovered, his partner is likely to take care of it whether Diarmuid wants him to or not. Diarmuid strongly suspects it's a sign of just how wiped out the magus is that he hasn't already tried.]

*Speaking of, he offers Diarmuid some fruit. Sadly, he hasn't gone to the sixth floor to hunt, so he can't offer his dog anything.*

[Diarmuid takes the fruit without argument because he knows he can use the energy boost. If nothing else, it will be that much less energy he draws from Waver who really needs it so that he can recover.
Mac an Chuill stands and moves to sit in front of Enoch. He doesn't seem interested in food, though.]
I think he will be happy with being a few pats in place of food if you don't have anything he would like with you.
[He gives the dog a fond look.]
I'm not sure if it will be safer for him to be with us, but I couldn't just leave him alone in the rooms. No one--animal or human--should be alone when things finally start happening.

Dogs are fiercely loyal. Even if he could reason like one of us, he wouldn't understand leaving him alone to protect him. He would want to be with you and protect you instead.

[Diarmuid leans forward to pat the hound on the back.]
Besides, he was there for the final battle of my first life. He ran then and I don't blame him for it. Fate is a frightening thing to face. Something tells me he won't run this time. Just like this time, it won't be the final battle of my life. It will just be the final battle of this part of my life. Once this is done, we will all move forward onto the next parts of our lives, whatever we choose for that part to be.

*They've secured the machine room, at least. Now all there is, is to wait and see what they and the chipped units can do.*

[Part of that is dealing with Ruana, but he believes they can do that too. They have come too far to fail now. Even if his doubts still try to make him give into fear, he is not about to let them win, not now that they are so close to the end.]
Do you mind if I ask what option you are hoping for?

*That very large discussion on the network had shown there were plenty of people who thought that way.*

That is what I want as well. Those who have nothing to go back to or no longer want to go back to their worlds are fighting just as hard as the rest of us. It wouldn't be right if they be left out of our victory.
It would be nice if, when we are sent back, we are all given the choice of what world we are going to, but I don't know if that is something Zo can do.

[Don't mind him unconsciously starting to play with the silver ring on his finger.]
Waver needs me to go back with him to help finish what he's started. I think he could do it himself, but he has lost me once before and...I don't know if he could handle it happening again...
no subject
I doubt he'll have to, if there are no problems with you missing from your world.
*He wishes he could say the same about Lucifel. God would notice someone like him missing, and he couldn't take him from the other version of himself.*

I am dead on my world.
[His life discarded like a child might discard a broken toy.]
No one will miss me there. I don't even have a body to go back to since my form is made from magical energy. My soul just needs to be able to follow Waver's and once back on his world, I can use his energy to create a new body.
[That is why keeping their contract intact now that it is made with real powers is so important. If all else fails, that might be enough to drag Diarmuid to Waver's world itself.]

I wish the two of you luck, should we be unable to speak later.
no subject
The only problems would be technical. Hopefully, though, Zo has grown strong enough that he can do it. Especially, since we also have control of the machine to help him.
Thank you. I wish you the best too. However this all turns out, it has been an honor to work with you.
