I keep trying to understand what I should make of it...all I can think is how hopeless it sounds. Like...some sort of cry for help.
[Like she's scared. Like she just wants to make the horrors in her life disappear. But if this was Ruana, and it most certainly was, there couldn't possibly still be any compassionate emotion left in her, could there?]

I don't know what she's trying to do. She can't possibly be looking for compassion in her state...the bear game...

[Ion closes his eyes, his sad expression turning down into a grimace. He doesn't want to think about the bear game. But he knows that it's true. Still, as he looks at Enoch's note it only seems more and more like some frantic, scared plea.]
I don't understand...but...I still feel so sorry. Even if she doesn't feel this way now, she did before. I'm not sure what it achieves to enlighten all of us at this point, about the things she may have gone through in the past, but I...
