Aye, that it is, Knight.
[Lancelot's wounds are newly Healed, and he returns the gesture with his own narrow shadow of a smile. He recalls meeting this Knight in this very Field. Ages ago it seems now, even to him.
He looks up to the False and inconstant Sun in answer.]

It is a Summer Verse. A song for the Maying, and for the song of the Bird that heralds the season.
Summer is coming in-- loudly sing, Cuckoo.
The Seed grows and the Meadow blooms and the Wood comes into Leaf.

Though this May be a False one that soon will Fail, it puts me in Mind of many a pleasant Hour I passed in Life-- and of my dear Master, who did love this Place. He was a Stubborn Man-- as Life itself is a Stubborn thing.
