[The Tower is stagnant, the only signs of activity confined to the second block. There isn't much time left; it might be a good idea to rest and do whatever strikes your fancy before the timer hits zero.]

Probably. And even if she is... it's too dangerous to allow her to live. We can't control her at all - so we have to destroy her.

Neither should she have to live any longer. Her madness has prevented her mind from maturing. Even when she appeared to be a young woman, she acted like a child. She's trapped, in every way, and she cannot have a meaningful relationship with anyone.

*Even Zo, she misled and turned on. There's only one way for her to have any peace now...*

[A little too close to home, but he nods.]

True. It's time she wake up.

*Enoch shakes his head.* I don't believe that's possible anymore. She destroyed her own heart - her own ability to feel love.

No...it isn't 'waking up'...

*He does not normally condone death. But in this case...in this case, nothing else feels right. If she is left alive, could she ever recover? Would she want to?*

Well, in a way it is.

[He shrugs. He'd like to wake up as well, but that's not an option.]

*And then he understands what he's getting at. But while he understands why Naoya calls it that, it still sounds wrong to him. Horrifyingly wrong. He's never really made his peace with either immortal life or death, but he is certainly much closer to the former than the latter.

Death has never been any sort of "awakening" to him, and even from the perspective of an immortal, if living is a nightmare death still isn't waking up, to him. More like the nightmare ending for a deeper sleep, in that case. Even with the reincarnation of the soul, that person comes to an end.

So he doesn't know what to say, really. Because he can't tell Naoya how he's supposed to feel about this personally. And why would he want to, over a matter of semantics?*

...Whatever we choose to call it, it is likely her only option.

[Waking up from a nightmare... it's something he'd like, too. Again, a time when he has to plot the death of someone else but remain in this mess himself. A shame. He'd never gotten to play with Ruana properly.]

Yes. ... It's a matter of figuring out how to kill her, unless we know someone who can pull her soul apart, or otherwise destroy it. 'Never lose your soul in the Tower of Animus'...

Let's...focus on destroying the body. Zo can send her soul - and those she's devoured - somewhere safe after.

*At least, he might hope. He doesn't want to destroy her very soul. The very fact that he's speaking so bluntly about killing someone makes him uneasy in and of itself.*
