Cinco

Characters: Spain, open to everyone~
Setting: Floor Four, the lounge room.
Format: I'll adapt to match.
Summary: Spain is calmly but surely freaking out about the strange voice-text she heard at the computers.
Warnings: TBA

She had passed by the computers when that strange text appeared on one of the screens. Curious, she had wandered closer, and then the voices were heard.

She squeaked, and ran down to the lounge room. Now, she sits in one of the corners, trying her best not to get worked up over the strangeness.

'iseeyouiseeyouiseeyou...' it's echoing in her head, and she whimpers, trying to block out the sound. 'mommymommymommy'...

"...Yes."

He didn't think it was all that bad, really. But he's actually not speaking his mind for once, instead agreeing to go along with what Spain is saying. This lady should get a Nobel prize right now, seriously.

She didn't know what's going on anymore? Yes, her and everyone else. And much as he'd like to deny it, insist that there was something that could be controlled, Ienzo didn't know what was going on either. He certainly wasn't pleased with it. But his expression didn't change in the slightest. Even when Spain sunk down again, unable to show her face, the only thing he showed was furrowing his eyebrows slightly.

"What's going to happen to the children...?"

He folded his arms at this one, looking at her. Even sitting down, their heads were at the same level, hers just a bit higher than his. He waited a moment, to see if she would continue, and only spoke when it seemed nothing else would come.

"...Presumably, nothing worse than the rest of you."

He nodded. Though of course nothing could be taken out of consideration, there was no need to go fret about it. "...It could just be designed to scare you," he said. "To take advantage of your fears." The tower owners would like to make it appear that everyone was on the same side against things like the phantoms and the red-collars, he would not be surprised if they were trying to purposefully upset everyone with imagery that set many off.

"Possibly." It's all speculation, you'll understand. And though he doesn't really like resorting to it, there's nothing else that can be done.

Lack of information sucks.

...

After a long moment of standing there and watching her, Ienzo glanced to the seat next to her, and quietly sat down next to her.

The smile does reassure him somewhat (this was an extreme venture after all), but he doesn't show it, and continues the silence, staring at the fog outside the glass.

This works for about five minutes before he looks back over at her.

"...What exactly were you doing on Floor Thirteen?"

"Voices? You mean the sound on the network?" Or were the phantoms acting up again? ...He found it almost distressing that he could think such a thing with the mundane air that he had. Oh well. There was nothing that could be done. That was the reality now, as it had been for months.

"Yes, they were." (Ienzo is entirely unaware of this, but that was because his mun wrote 'sound file' and made a hasty fix-up because lol, what's a file.) He did catch her grabbing at her stomach, though. What had she been stopped by?

"...You should get something to eat."

He looks out the window for a few minutes as well before something occurs to him. "...This floor is probably in the cloud layer of the atmosphere. That could be why the fog is here every day. But... the weather would therefore never have to be a cloudless day..." He's looking at the floor, leaning his head in one hand. One could practically hear the cogs clicking in his head.

Ah, no, not a good idea--

Even though he's slightly more at ease with Spain than with a few other people, the whole 'physical contact' thing still doesn't sit well with him. So Spain, when you give him that affectionate headpat, he's going to shudder a bit. Sorry.

And now he's feeling even worse. Wow. Pretty smart thinking there, Ienzo.

"...Ah. I'm sorry." He frowned. "...That is very possible. If we can't find some way to get out of the loop we're in now..."

"...Cold? No. Of course not..." As a matter of fact, Ienzo had spent much of his life in rooms which were much colder than they had absolute reason to be, so if this place was a low temperature he probably wouldn't find any problem with it. What did give him pause, however, was Spain's reaction; she immediately set out an extensive list of solutions for a problem that didn't even exist. Why was this?

At that moment, something occurred to him, a question he had meant to ask her. "...Ah, Spain..."

Pause.

"...There was a discussion on the network about a... question and answer session between tower residents and the staff. Were you, by any chance, present for that...?"

Well, she did have the longest (confirmed) stay time of anyone he knew.

"...According to someone else who was there... the owners of this place said that these collars were meant for 'stabilization'. Did they elaborate on that?"

Frowny frown frown. Of course she might not remember as well... he rather doubted there was anyone who did. If they had specified more about it, any more, he would have been able to test That Theory -- the one Kanaya and he had made about astral projection. Bizarre when taken out of context, but...

"...I see. Thank you."
