"--Oh!" She has the decency to look sheepish, her brow knitting. Her laced hands rise a bit before she adds a sincere, "I'm sorry...! You're right. I just-- got distracted. Now's not the time." She's so used to having something or someone to worry about that it's a tough habit to break.

"Worrying is fine, but not all the time. Moderation is key."

He glances up, around, then back to Naminé. "However, I am afraid I am at a loss of what is done at 'parties'."

She nods decisively, making note to remind herself of that. Her fussing won't help anyone if she does it at the wrong time. Her eyes drift downward and then come suddenly back up when she's addressed again. ...And up, since his face is pretty high, at least compared to her. "Me, too." She takes her turn to glance at the other partygoers. "I've been wondering that. I... guess it involves socializing, but other than that, I'm not sure."

Fawkes glances out at the other partygoers for a bit, before turning his attention back to Naminé. "The current thing appears to be dancing, but I am afraid I lack the grace to pull that off." Plus, the last thing we need to see is a pop-locking super mutant...

She follows his line of sight to eye the others when he does, and looks back when he speaks. "Mm." That definitely seems to be the case. "That's okay. I can't dance, either. I never learned." It would be the best thing to see, what are you even talking about.

"I cannot recall if I ever did, to tell the truth - given that I have no idea how to start, though, I would wager that I did not ever learn as well." He chuckles faintly. "That, and I would not want to risk injuring someone in the event of a misstep on my part."

That first part makes her blink - that would be a funny thing to forget, at least on one's own, she thinks. Then again, memories had different values to everyone, and different lifespans. Still, it makes her curious, although she doesn't mention it until after she smiles, lets out a brief laugh behind one of her hands, and says, "That's very thoughtful of you, then." A pause. "Why wouldn't you remember if you ever learned to dance?"

"There are...a great many things I cannot recall. Whether it is due to age or external factors, I am uncertain," he answers. "However, it is something I try not to dwell on too much. If I focus on what memories I cannot recall, that is time that could have been spent creating new ones."

Her mouth forms an 'o' as she listens. He lost his memories and doesn't even know why? She imagines that would be fairly disconcerting; at least when Sora, Donald, and Goofy had lost theirs, they'd had some (admittedly incorrect) idea as to why. It's another one of those moments where she kind of wishes she could help him with her powers. Still... maybe it's better this way. Perhaps the memories were lost for a reason. When her smile comes back, it's fairly wan. "...You're right. It's probably best to keep moving forward."

Well. Fawkes has his theories that it was tied to his mutation, but that's not a pleasant subject to breach, usually. He nods, but notices the change in her smile. "Something the matter?"

"--No. Nothing's wrong. I just..." Her fingers tighten around each other. "...I was just thinking about memories. Sometimes... the memories that are lost disappear for a reason." Other than amnesia, she means.

"Mmmn. That makes sense," he answers, stroking his chin as he ponders why she was bringing it up. Perhaps he should be more up front about things.

"...--Oh. I'm doing it again, I'm sorry." She works out a laugh at her own expense. "It's like you said before, now's not the time for things like that."
