"No." Erik shrugged, tucking his shirt into his pants before doing up his belt.

"But I suspect it won't be the way I came in. I suspect it's on the grounds somewhere. Perhaps even in the house."

"Then should we split up? It could be quicker that way, in theory." He could take the mansion, open all the doors, look for doors that never existed before.

Erik could run around outside on the grounds. It would be fun.

"No." Erik shook his head, sounding a bit more firm than he meant to be. "I don't know what will happen when we open the door. If it pulls us through the moment we open it? We'll be separated again. I don't want that." They need to stick together. He won't lose Charles again.
