Summary: Vriska takes some time to look at her life and look at her choices.

[Vriska's taken to a skulking method of wandering around the tower, instead of the confident stride she boasted before Spidermom showed up. Now it feels like she's always hiding and always looking for her next victim, and really, that's what she's doing. Not that she'll ever admit that she's hiding from anything, because she's not! That's absolutely not why she's switched back to her old outfit with her wings always tucked away to keep from leaving trails around the tower that will lead to her. She's just doing a job, a job that no one wants, and that she was guilted into. She's starting to really resent Karkat for this, because it's digging her deeper into a hole that's going to be hard to crawl out of. Not to mention the countless hours she's spending with his lusus, getting used to her like it's her lusus.

She shakes her head, frowning as she continues through the hallways and up the stairs, pointedly avoiding the forest. Her direction has no aim, she's just wandering for the sake of relieving the restlessness that builds on the days between feeding. She'd fed her again yesterday - a troll of all people, her old kismesis at that - so now she had a couple of days of freedom from the task. But it's anything but. It's just another day of checking over her shoulder for anyone who might be watching her actions too closely. Really, she's becoming as paranoid as the other cerulean. This is just getting ridiculous. She feels like she's completely losing control of the situation, and it's driving her crazy.]

[She slouched down further in her seat, chewing on her lip and flaking the blue lipstick off to show the black underneath.]

This tower is just stupid, that's all. Maybe I'm getting a little restless.

There are plenty of floors that could keep you occupied for a while. Why not go explore the labrynth or the forest?

[Her shoulders stiffen and her scowl deepens for a second. Kanaya just mentioned the worst floor. She tries to play it off, waving her hand flippantly.]

Been there, done that! You can only explore them so much before it gets boring! Besides, forests are more Pyrope's style, being a tree girl and all.

I am very sure of that, I know you Vriska, throughout all my meddling, as you enjoy calling it, I have picked up the ability to tell when you are keeping something from me.

[Of course it's a bad idea to talk to Kanaya when she's sitting on such a big secret. She's need to figure out a way to spin it that Kanaya won't get on her case for if she has to come clean.]

If you would rather not talk about it then we shall simply move our conversation elsewhere. I'm sure that you will tell me when the time is right. What have you been doing to keep entertained?

[She knows she's not going to get out of this without telling Kanaya something.]

[Vriska, in her defense, holds her tongue for a good 8 minutes before she finally bursts.]

You can't tell anyone about it! They'll just try killing her and last time I tried she got pissed.

[She chews on her lip and looks to the side. She can't say she's been feeding tower inhabitants, but-]

I won't tell anyone Vriska. [only because you're feeding her red collared people] The tower is not punishing you for feeding her the red collared workers?

Well I suggest you be careful regardless, I'm sure the tower would not appreciate you constantly killing their workers.

[She lets out a frustrated sigh because she doesn't want to talk about this anymore. She's weaving a lie so thick it could rival her lusus' web.]

Look, you don't need to worry about me. I'm not weak enough to get hurt.

Yes, yes I know what she eats, it's unfortunate. I was not suggesting that you feed yourself to her! In fact, please do not feed yourself to her. I would be rather upset by that. [she places her hand on Vriska's] I know that you're not weak, but I will still worry.

[She stares down at Kanaya's hand on hers, brows furrowed and she pulls away from it. It's not that it isn't nice, it is. But it makes her feel like shit when Kanaya treats her so well when she's being a deceitful bitch.]

Then you'll be worrying yourself to death, because she isn't going away.
