it's like i'm looking in the mirror at someone else
Characters: [OU] Vriska Serket and you!
Setting: Around the tower, wherever
Format: Starting with action but I'll match.
Summary: Vriska takes some time to look at her life and look at her choices.
Warnings: None!
[Vriska's taken to a skulking method of wandering around the tower, instead of the confident stride she boasted before Spidermom showed up. Now it feels like she's always hiding and always looking for her next victim, and really, that's what she's doing. Not that she'll ever admit that she's hiding from anything, because she's not! That's absolutely not why she's switched back to her old outfit with her wings always tucked away to keep from leaving trails around the tower that will lead to her. She's just doing a job, a job that no one wants, and that she was guilted into. She's starting to really resent Karkat for this, because it's digging her deeper into a hole that's going to be hard to crawl out of. Not to mention the countless hours she's spending with his lusus, getting used to her like it's her lusus.
She shakes her head, frowning as she continues through the hallways and up the stairs, pointedly avoiding the forest. Her direction has no aim, she's just wandering for the sake of relieving the restlessness that builds on the days between feeding. She'd fed her again yesterday - a troll of all people, her old kismesis at that - so now she had a couple of days of freedom from the task. But it's anything but. It's just another day of checking over her shoulder for anyone who might be watching her actions too closely. Really, she's becoming as paranoid as the other cerulean. This is just getting ridiculous. She feels like she's completely losing control of the situation, and it's driving her crazy.]

It isn't hard to follow her, either. Vriska isn't nearly as sneaky as she likes to think.]

She glances towards the forest as she shuffles past the floor hurriedly, not wanting to linger too long. Spidermom is in there, and there's no way she's going to visit her when it isn't a feeding day. And she certainly doesn't want her to come looking for her.]

She's certainly skulking around suspiciously enough. Now Terezi just needs to figure out why.]

What are you up to, Serket? Looks pretty suspicious to me!
no subject
Stalking me now, Pyrope? What a freak! Don't you have anything better to do? It's really sad if you don't.
[Casually avoiding that question.]

She leans against the wall nearby with her arms crossed over her chest, eyes trailing Vriska as she walks by.]
...Need to talk?
[There was no hint of insincerity in her voice or expression-- she genuinely wanted to help Vriska out.]
no subject
Her Ancestor. Maybe she was exactly who she needed to talk to about this, but she didn't want to tell anyone. She cocks her hip, folding her arms over her chest and trying to look like she wasn't totally moping and skulking around the tower.]
That's a nice offer! But I have no idea what you're talking about.
no subject
[She leans back upwards and steps over to her descendant, looking down at her with her arms still crossed.]
Want to take a walk with me, and talk about what is so obviously not bothering you at all in the slightest?
no subject
[Maybe... Maybe she will take Mindfang to see Spidermom. It couldn't hurt, right? It's her ancestor, she'll understand.]

What do you think of the tower so far? Pretty boring place, huh?
[Shitty small talk but at least it's something. If she was older she would definitely be asking her to tell about all of her conquests and adventures, but she isn't sure if she's experienced any of that. Maybe she'll ask sometime.]

Rather than the blue suit he usually sports, he's taken the black suit with his symbol carefully stitched across it. Black makes him look more menacing. Hopefully people in the hallway would get the hint that he didn't want to be bothered.
He went to visit spidermom every day -- but not today. There's too much on his mind. So much that he doesn't even see Vriska as he walks by.]

What's got your panties in a twist, Vantas? Don't tell me you can't associate me unless I'm feeding your lusus or some stupid shit like that.
no subject
I don't need your shit today, Serket. I know its hard for you to believe, but I have other things to think about on top of powdering your nook.
[He regrets saying it as soon as it comes out of his mouth, but whatever.]
I wasn't looking. That's all.
no subject
You sure you want to talk to me like that? Let's not forget I'm the only thing standing between you and becoming spider food or a murderer.
What the hell crawled up your ass and died there?
no subject
If you'd like to discuss the contents of my ass, we can do it behind closed doors.
But that aside, you don't have to worry about the next feeding. I'll take care of it.
no subject
Disgusting, Vantas!
Wait, what? You're actually going to feed her?? [Something isn't right here.] Why?

You still need a little work, Maryam. You're not supposed to tell me.
[Then her expression sobers a little. Is she really that obvious with her feelings right now? She needs to fix that.]
Me, upset? No way!
no subject
[She gives Vriska a hard look]
You're not being honest with me.
no subject
[She slouched down further in her seat, chewing on her lip and flaking the blue lipstick off to show the black underneath.]
This tower is just stupid, that's all. Maybe I'm getting a little restless.
