Setting: Floor 6, the forest
Format: Prose
Summary: Terezi's been jilted by Bluekat and needs a little mustard love.
Warnings: None.

Sollux usually didn't spend a lot of time in the forest on Floor 6, but the lack of computers might have been making him antsy. For once, he felt like walking around for a bit, and a forest seemed like the best place to do some walking.

After half an hour of pushing branches aside, tripping on roots, and blasting wild fauna, he wondered why he had ever thought this was a good idea.

He blinked at the hug, but wrapped his arms around her in return, squeezing. "Whatever you thay," he said, a bit mystified by the reaction.

She was smiling when she pulled away, and took his hands. "So, enough about Karkat! What were you looking for in here?"

"I wathn't really looking for anything." His eyes kept dropping to look at their clasped hands. "Other than the monthterth, it theemed nithe here, and I hear forethtth are good for walking. I jutht needed thome air."

She noticed that, and let his hands drop, tilting her head. "I haven't really been very far in here!"

Oh. His fingers tightened briefly as she let go, but he released her after a fraction of a second, dropping his own hands into his lap. "Me neither. It wathn't ath much fun ath I thought."

She grabbed her cane and pulled herself to her feet. "Want to go explore, then?"

Sollux might have expected Terezi to go after Karkat. If she didn't want to do that, maybe what she needed was a distraction. He could do that.

He got to his feet as well and smiled. "Sure, why not."

She'd already gone after him once, and it hadn't done much. She linked her arm with Sollux's and set off through the trees. "Maybe we'll run into some giant monster."

"Yeah, that'd be fun," he agreed, chuckling. "Except that my powerth don't work near the monthterth. I tried that already."

"Oooh, taking it down the old fashioned way! How horrible!" She teased, giving him a little push.

He shoved back a bit. "Do I look like an old fashioned thort of troll?"

Terezi giggled, stepping back from the push. "I don't know! I'm blind, stupid!"

Eyeroll. "Thorry, I mean, do I tathte like an old-fashioned troll?"

"Hmmm. I am not sure!" She steps forward, standing on her tiptoes in an attempt to lick him.

Sputtering. Ugh, troll spit. "Well??"

She laughs again. "I don't know! I just wanted to lick you."

"Ugh, you are the weirdetht perthon." He grinned anyway, though. "How would you like it if everyone went around licking you?"

She grinned right back. "They should! I am very delicious."

He eyed her skeptically, then leaned in closer and licked her cheek. "Ugh, nope."

Terezi giggled again, pushing his face away. "Rude! You don't get the right to judge, anyway. You taste like old, rotten mustard!"

He snorts and pushes back. "Do not. I tathte like thweet deliciouth honey."

She grabs for his hand!

"I think there is something wrong with your tastebuds, Tholluxth!"

"No, you've jutht probably methhed yourth up with licking chalk all day!" He lets her take his hand, blinking a little in surprise.

She makes a face at him, sticking out her tongue, then begins to lead him deeper into the forest. "Chalk is a delicacy! It isn't my fault you can't appreciate it."

"It'th dithguthting! And I can't appreciate it becauthe I can't tathte colourth." He follows deeper into the forest, not really paying attention to where they're going.
