Summary: Karkat has been awfully quiet lately, and hasn't quiet been seeking out others. How unusual.

[Karkat has just had too many things on his mind. Staying out of trouble, trying not to make more people furious with him, dodging mealtimes to instead feed Spidermom. The attack on the tower had sated her slightly, but it hadn't helped his psyche any. The visions of Imperial Drones on top of more copies of Spidermom were a little too much for him.

He was still sick to his nutrition sack over the whole thing. If those drones had been real, then he would have been leaving Kanaya to them. What kind of shitty friend was he?

Oh wait. That kind of answered the question. So wherever he happens to be, Karkat will be propped against a wall, staring down at his shoes with an everpresent frown of thought.]

The point was that you can't keep it from bothering me all the time, so it's stupid to try and shield me from it by not talking about it.

[He gives her a Look.]

[WOW she actually looks sort of excited. The Look does not even faze her.]

I know that there are other things bothering you besides the events that occurred in the Veil. What are they? Specifically.

[She knows she has to be direct with her questions or he'll waste time dodging them.]

[He's only rushing her so he doesn't have to agree to that promise.]

Contrary to what you might believe, that's the thick of it. If you have to ask about anything else, then you don't need to know.

[His eyelids fall, and he suddenly looks very tired.]

[She's not even put off by the answer. She just...slumps a little. It always makes her sad somehow when Karkat gets that look on his face.

She glances down to his hands, and then back to his face, before gingerly reaching out to rest her hand on his forearm.]

But there is clearly something else bothering you, or you would not look so miserable right now.

[The scoff that he can't suppress in time suggests that its more than just one thing bothering him, but he doesn't have the shameglobes to admit it.]
