Summary: Minato and Chidori decide to get some R&R by... critisizing how bad the Tower's taste in movies can be.
Warnings: Really cheesy horror films and lots of snark? Otherwise, TBA.

[ Today, it was just going to be him and Chidori. They'd fought a lot during that weird... whatever it was when the Tower malfunctioned, so some relaxation for the both of them was in order.

Of course, the best way to relax and rest is to grab a couch, a television that WORKS on the mediafloor, and pop in a random movie that may or may not be interesting.

Horror of course, but mostly because they'd issued themselves the challenge of this: WHAT was there, in cinema form, that COULD horrify them anymore, anyway? With bad B movie in hand, they have set out to find that out!

Perhaps you have heard their voices from the room and are curious as to the television's noises, and want to join them? Or maybe you just wish they'd turn it down. Either way, you're likely to get an earful of some sort of cheesy horror film.

Of course, they're sort of taking up the whole sofa (yes, just the two of them. Get over it), but that makes up for the lack of popcorn for this, okay? ]

Why is it [Chidori's voice is dry and unimpressed.] That these types of movies always begin with someone losing their clothing?

[Settled at one corner of the couch, legs curled under her, Chidori leans into a pile of pillows, chin in hand and golden eyes half-lidded. ]

Oh look- bad guy exposition time...

[ Minato is equally taking up the sofa on the other side, his legs spread out, arms behind him. He pauses to consider this, as the speech goes on. ]

Fan service and catering to the sort of idiots who enjoy this kind of thing, I would guess.

[ Pause. Pffthaha-- ] Of course he can't die either, that would make this movie pointless if they were smart enough to kill one of these two.

[ Oh bloody intro credits. Whoo. ]

But really? Who would go swimming nude? At night? In a deserted area where no one can hear them if something happens?

[She settles a pillow in her lap and then moves his feet onto her lap so she can stretch her legs sideways a bit.]

And of course, our intrepid heroines showing off their oh-so-competent decision-making skills. [A narrowing of her eyes.] And impressive self-control.

Chidori, that would be something a person with a modicum of intelligence would NOT do. Our heroes, as you have noted, do not have any common sense. I believe that's a theme with these movies.

[ He is okay with this, of course. And oh my they have SUCH good self-control he won't EVEN comment.

... And he just raises a brow at the Feng Shui comment. ... And ooh, dark and spooky kitchen. ]

You would think they'd at least lock the windows, but as I said, common sense is not their strong point. ... At least he closed the back door.

[ One point to the guy. ]

[Echidna, Raiden, Amadeus and Briar used to have aaaaaaaall sorts of movie nights. But usually instead of bad horror movies, they watched cheesy action flicks, and pretended to act them out some times. So this was both familiar and unfamiliar territory.

Mostly she was attracted to the spotting the red-haired woman from the tower attack, who was indeed alive and well.] Oh--!! You're OK!

[So that was a happy thing, as she rushed in cheerfully and stood behind the couch. A curious head quirk lead her to looking at the screen.] ...Are you watching that Freddy vs. Jason movie?

[ WELL he doesn't know you per se, Echidna, but you seem to know his friend and team member so... ]

We really just picked out something that seemed like it might be vaguely frightening.

[ Spoilers: it's not to them. Wanna pull up a chair, Echidna? ]

... Do all movies generally portray murder this unrealistically?

[ Minato, why are you asking this... do you know what it's like realistically....... ~~yes, he's seen Takaya's work.~~ ]

I am. I told you I would be.

[Chidori doesn't look up from the movie- she's learned to tell people apart by both voice and the reading she gets from them via Medea. At Minato's words, she gives his shin a faint tap with a finger, eyebrows rising.

Really Minato, don't give it away so easily.]

I doubt anyone on the film team knows what a real murder looks like.

[A slight tilt of her head toward Echidna, and she raises a shoulder.]

We're finding it quite disappointing, as you can see.

[Even if it looks like Chidori's ignoring her, Echidna is clapping excitedly in jubilation.] I'm glad! And um, thank you really, for everything!

[She did edge her way around to the side of the couch to see them and the movie better, stopping short of literally pulling up a chair.]

Uuuum, I do not watch that many horror movies, but I am pretty sure they always shoot people in places that should really be fatal and they always last long enough to give a dying monologue before they actually die.

[She has no idea that they would have any idea what a real murder would look like. Welp.]

If you want to see better gore though you could watch those crime scene investigation shows though! Or just watch better horror movies.

[ Hmmmm. He looks considerate, but the tap is noted. Subject change! ]

[ He's curious. :V Are you making friends, Chidori? AWWW HE'S PROUD, look at this tiny smile. ]

... I see you're making friends.

[ Hee hee. As for Echidna... ]

What movies would you suggest?

I rescued her.

[Translation: not so much 'making friends' as 'doing the right thing'. Sort of. And geez Minato, holster that smile before she whaps you for real.]

I don't know if it counts.

[Her eyes slide to Echidna slowly, and she shrugs halfheartedly, fingers plucking at Minato's pants idly.]

Tearing these movies down is half the fun.

Well it counts if you want it to count! I owe you! [Not even deterred. She's just grinning and rocking on her heels excitedly.]

Hmmmm I have heard the Saw movies are really bloody and scary, but my friends and I have only seen a few of those. [And a giggle.] Although it is true, making fun of them is really entertaining too!

[ NOPE not holstering this tiny tiny smile, you can't make him Chidori. ]

American, right? This is too, I think. I haven't actually sat down and watched any movies for awhile, so I figured it might be nice to relax now that this place is a bit more stable.

[ And then... ]
