Summary: Yosuke's in a half-thinking, half-escapist mood. What better place to do both?
Warnings: None!

[In the middle of this springtime meadow is one high school student, sprawled out on the grass with his headphones on and blasting music. He switches every few minutes between nodding his head to the beat and looking oddly contemplative. But he's aware of his surroundings, and as people pass he'll do one of two things]

[If Yosuke doesn't know you, he'll simply smile and offer a friendly wave]

[If he does, he'll slip the headphones off his hears and give a greeting] Hey!

[...And now she notices that she's holding his hand. Immediately, her face goes red, and she withdraws her hand with such force that the recoil nearly knocks her on her back. She lets out a nervous laugh, attempting futilely to cover her tracks.]

...Er, wow, whoops! How'd that get there? Hehe...

[princeofjunes]

[Yosuke had been determined to not make a big deal about having a pretty girl grab his hand. But as she reacts like that, he doesn't really have a choice anymore. But instead of getting embarrassed, he just stares at her, talking flatly]

Well it's a good thing you noticed. If your hand had been there any longer you would've turned to stone. But how'd you guess my sinister power?

[guardiandragon]

[...That's is response? She starts to wonder if he's as prude as Ichigo, before remembering he's called her hot at least once, so that can't be it. She blurts out the first thought that comes to her head, without stopping to consider if it's a good idea.]

I cannot figure out what your deal is.

[princeofjunes]

[And now it's his turn to be confused. But as well as he managed to keep himself calm a few moments ago, it all falls to pieces the instant his brain jumps to a conclusion. Just look at that blush!]

Wait, you were putting the moves on me?! I- I thought it was just a comfort thing!

[guardiandragon]

[Yeah, seems like they're even on that front.]

WHAT?! No! I thought you would think it was, that's why I flipped out! I didn't even do it on purpose!

[princeofjunes]

Well I didn't think it was until you flipped out! That's why I'm flipping out!

[guardiandragon]

I can't not flip out if you keep flipping out!

[princeofjunes]

You flipped out first! Don't blame me for flipping out after you!

[guardiandragon]

Well, it's not helping! Do something that isn't flipping out!

[princeofjunes]

Why should it be me? You started it!

[This endless loop of a fight feels somewhat familiar. It's a comfortable feeling. Less comfortable is how he hasn't quite been able to look at her the same way since this whole debacle started. Stupid sexy Tatsuki...]

[guardiandragon]

Hey, you saw my hand there! You could've prevented this whole thing! Why the hell didn't you say anything?!

[princeofjunes]

Because you were upset and I was trying not to be an ass! I didn't know you'd freak out anyway! And what the hell was I supposed to say?! "Before I lean over and kiss you I just want to be sure - you are putting the moves on me, right?" That's not exactly smooth!

[guardiandragon]

Wait. Wait, hang on a minute, what?

[A beat.]

Are you saying you were actually interested?

[Another beat. She places the back of her hand to his forehead.]

...You okay, dude?

[princeofjunes]

No! Yes! I don't know!

[His face feels like it's on fire and he gives a frustrated sigh as he pulls away from her hand]

Look, you're hot and pretty cool and it's not like I would have been against the idea so can we stop now that I'm completely embarrassed?

[guardiandragon]

[And on that note, she starts laughing.]

I'm hot? Now I know you're fucking with me.

[princeofjunes]

[He just stares dumbfounded at her for a moment. And then his mouth gets away from him]

Well in your defense, I doubt you stare at your own chest.

[guardiandragon]

C'mon, you should know no guy wants an Amazon. Hell, even the class lesbian wouldn't touch me.

[princeofjunes]

What's that? Sorry, I wasn't listening, I was distracted by your rack.

[guardiandragon]

[With the warmest, most polite smile on her face, she gives him five across the eyes. Hard.]

Don't push it~.

[princeofjunes]

OW!

[Still, it's hard to be mad about it, and he even laughs as he rubs his face]

Well if you weren't going to take me seriously, I figured I might as well go all out.

[guardiandragon]

Oh, I still don't buy it. Because if you were serious, that'd make you the first.

[princeofjunes]

[There's a brief war in his head between doing something stupid and letting it go]

[Then Yosuke utilizes his speed, leaning over and giving her a quick kiss. It's barely anything more than a peck on the lips, but it's enough. And though he's sure he'll get smacked again for it, he just grins as he pulls back just as fast as he started]

You don't seem like the type who'd ever just take my word for it. Just do me a favor, keep your revenge above the belt.

[guardiandragon]

[At first, she just sits there and blinks.

Then, she blinks two more times, before blinking again. After a further blink, it dawns on her exactly what just happened, and exactly what she had to do about it.]

Alright, if you insist. Above the belt it is.

[With that, she pulled him into herself, pressing her lips against his, injecting every ounce of passion into it that she could muster, which, knowing her, was nearly bottomless. She was determined to make her first kiss really count.

That'd show him.]

[princeofjunes]

[Among the things Yosuke expected to happen after that stunt, this ranked somewhere ahead of 'spontaneous supermodel orgy' and behind 'torn apart by hungry wolves'.]

[And for a moment, all he can do is blink as he's pulled against her and into the most passionate embrace he's ever shared]

[Thankfully for him, his brain shuts down and the part of his instinct that got him into this mess takes over as Yosuke wraps his arms around her, returning her kiss with every ounce of emotion he can muster]

[Consider him shown, Tatsuki]

[As the moment winds to a close and they begin to separate, she lets out a slight schoolgirl sort of giggle, the sort that doesn't quite mesh with her rough exterior.]

Hell of a place for a first kiss, isn't it?
