Event: Quarantine

Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

[It is his Replica's, and said Replica is already in the room when Riku tumbles in.]

Hey, what're you--

[And then he cuts off. Fake or not, it's not good to shove him out if he'll get killed by explosions or debris or something. That's kinda cruel. Instead, he makes a face and joins Riku near the doorway.]

There's just two of us right now!

[keybearer]

Fancy meeting you here.

[He snickers, adding--]

Just don't be alarmed by the two lookalikes here. You're not seeing things.

[Sorry, Rep, but he couldn't resist a snarky remark. Riku doesn't wanna start butting heads with his copy now.]

[Capell really wasn't sure what was going on, one moment that man was talking and next there were explosions and screaming and someone had shoved him into this room. Into this room with two people that looked alike, alike in the way he and Sigmund looked alike not just normal levels of looking similar to people you were related to and such.] It alright if I stay in here? [Hiding was a thing he was good at, as was running away but hiding seemed the safest option at the moment.]

Hey, the more the merrier.

[He gestures at the beds... or well, what he can see of them. It is kind of dark, after all.]

Might as well make ourselves comfortable, right? There's no telling how long this'll last.

[terra_nullius]

[There's the slapping sound of bare feet, and flying around a corner comes Xehanort, coat billowing majestically as he runs. He's looking around quickly, as though considering his options, though he'd heard the invitation and seeing someone entering the room--]

Is there room for one more in there?

[derping]

[And here comes Sora, who finally figured out there really isn't much he can do to help and that hanging around outside probably wasn't doing anyone any good. Thankfully there's a room here, with a couple of identical familiar faces.

...except wait, does he not know one of them? He recognizes Riku, of course - the Riku with the Keyblade like his - but he's not sure about the other one. It's hard to say, especially when he's in a hurry like this.

Geez, this is why we need nametags.]

Mind if I hide out in here?

We've got room, yeah. It's probably safer in here than it is out there.

[Xehanort is...familiar-looking, but Rep is more interested in Sora (no offense), and brightens when Sora appears.]

Thanks. [He entered the room quickly just as another explosion rocked the tower, moving away from the door so the others who were running up could enter as well. He couldn't see very well in the dark but he tried to avoid the furniture as best he could.]

[ Tear happens to find herself within the room as well, not really content that she's been separated from her friends, but it seems like it's better that there are others, than being by herself. ]

My apologies for intruding.

[ It's the closest place she can get to and there's no way to tell where all of her friends are at the moment. ]

Hey, no need to apologize.

[Riku chuckles, sitting himself at the edge of one of the beds. Probably Rep's, not that he realizes this.

Though now that there's six, they've got a pretty full house. ]

So, think we should do a roll call? I know most of you guys, but if we're gonna hide out, we might as well know who we're dealing with.

[It's easier than just going "hey you," at any rate.]

[derping]

[And, since Riku made it look like such a great idea, Sora sits down on the edge of one of the other empty beds.]

Well, I know most of you too, but...

[Riku had a good point - the damage outside looked like it was pretty bad, so they could be stuck here for a little while. Might as well make sure they all know each other's names, at least!]

I'm Sora.

[For the time being at least, he's content to stand. He's not sure how comfortable he feels in someone else's room, but it's better than being where the explosions are at any rate.]

A sound idea. I don't know if anyone else is new here, but I only recognize... [though he frowns because hey Riku hey there's two of you somehow oh never mind any of this] that's irrelevant.

[And a slight bow.] Please call me Xehanort. I'm pleased to make your acquaintances.

[regenleif]

Well I know none of you. [He grinned scratching his head, more people had entered the room and the door was shut now, but he was happy enough to wait the explosions out, he went to sit next to the boy who introduced himself as Sora.] I'm Capell though.

[Rep settles on one of the beds not occupied by people-not his, as Riku has actually taken his, but that's not that big of a deal.]

I'm Riku. He thinks he is, but he's not. [He indicates his facetwin across the room.]

[keybearer]

[Pfft. Riku snorts and rolls his eyes.]

It'd probably be easiest to just call us both Riku. Saves us from future arguments.

[ Tear replies to him nodding her head. She listens to their introductions before she replies with her own. ]

My name is Tear Grants. I am unfamiliar with all of you, but the appearance of the two of you remind me of someone.

[ Frankly, she met another Riku, and he was a bit older. ]

It seems like we'll be confined here for some time, so we should remain collected about our current situation.

[ Meaning she's not going to deal with arguments among look alikes. She's done enough of that. ]

Even you get confused about who you are? [Capell blinked, at least he had never actually thought he was Sigmund, as much as he pretended to be.]

Geez, as if keeping two Rikus straight wasn't hard enough already.

[He's just teasing, but really, it sounds like something else is going on. If they're both okay with being called Riku for now, though, Sora figures that it's probably better just to leave asking about it until later.]

Perhaps we should make one of them wear a badge. Riku 1 and Riku 2. Though the squabble over who is one and who is two would be a bit much, I'm sure...

[He crosses his arms casually.]

I don't suppose anyone has a better idea of the situation outside of those blasts?

[keybearer]

[Riku 1 and Riku 2? Heh, now there's an idea. For now, Riku will go ahead and focus on more urgent matters, like the explosions outside.]

Beats me. I was there in the middle of that Q&A, and the explosion came out of the blue. One minute Riki's answering questions, and the next, he's shouting at us to go hide. I don't think he even knows why.

[He shakes his head, leaning back on his palms.]

But if I had to guess, it's probably connected to that explosion last month. The one in the elevators.

The explosion...oh yeah!

[Sora rarely uses the network, but someone had told him that it had been an explosion in the elevator that let those shadow things out. They never had figured out where it had come from, had they?]

I bet you're right about that.

What explosion is this?

[As someone who wasn't here last month, details are of the essence to him.]

I'm not quite sure what happened but there was indeed an explosion and it was caused by something or someone.

[ Somehow it felt like they were caught up in a trap. ]

[keybearer]

I can fill in a few blanks for you guys.

[After all, he caught Jason's broadcast, which just so happened to occur shortly after the infiltration.]

Long story short, somebody let off explosives in the elevator shaft, and a whole bunch of shadow kids came crawling out of the woodwork. The funny thing is, it happened just after a huge group of us snuck through the shaft and into the administration levels.

[Was there a connection? Hard to say, but it's possible.]

[He frowned, having heard of the shadows before] So did someone who is trapped here leave the explosives?
