Format: Anything
Summary: Zo has set up a carnival for the residents, but it's not meant to last. Anyone wandering after the bombs go off might see things they never wanted to see...
Warnings: Psychological and body horror
Note: Characters entering the carnival from the 27th to the 30th will experience visions! Please refer to the info post for details and reply to this thread if your character enters the carnival during these days.

[The carnival has taken up the entirety of the cafeteria. A large roller coaster and ferris wheel tower over the residents, while a child-sized roller coaster, a merry-go-round, and spinning teacups project much less daunting silhouettes. Stands are set up with standard carnival foods available, from ice cream to cotton candy. These stands do not ask for anything as payment.

On the twenty-seventh, the carnival appearance changes. The machinery all appears rusted and broken down, as if weathered with decades of rain and snow. Plants grow up and around the rides, ruining them, and all the food is rotten.]

[His face twists faintly in disgust.]

It sounds like something the administrators of this tower would do.

[She notes the emotion. It's strange to see Archer disgusted and not just disdaining. She had gotten used to the Archer of her world having almost no standards.]

[Then again, it is strange that she could have such a civil conversation with Archer in the first place.]

Is it common practice for them?

[He waves a hand dismissively, not really fond of talking about the administrators, but... Well. Apparently this one was new enough to ask.]

One of them is a "scientist" who has changed people as he sees fit. Changing a child into a creature with many limbs would not be shocking coming from him.

Does his name happen to be Jason? If so, I have already been told of him. So that is the extent to which he will go.

[It is a horrid action. A disgusting one. A blasphemous one.]

Ah, so you have heard of him.

[Perhaps not surprising, if he really thought about it. Jason's influence was one of the more obvious for the administrators within the Tower.]

Yes, but I have only heard about him and not the specifics of his deeds. Nor have I seen him with my own eyes.

I have not seen him either. Like a coward, he hides away and refuses to show his face for a proper battle.

Does he fear retribution? Or is he afraid that being close to those he hurts will take away his ability to hurt them?

It seems like a matter of practicality.

[Not unlike his former Master.]

All he care about is his results.

That is...

[She's at a loss for words. Valuing efficiency and only caring about results...she can sympathize with that. It's severely tempting sometimes, to ignore the cost of going for certain goals.]

...that would be impressive dedication if he were willing to use it for the right goals. As it is, I can only call it madness.

Seeing as I do not know what his "goals" are, it all seems like madness to me. As it is, I will not accept being treated like an experiment as anything but an implicit desire for a slow death.

[He pauses as he considers his words a moment longer.]

A very slow death.

[Assassin is a Servant who deals out death, but the techniques of the Assassins focus on quick death. Not one that is cruel and slow.]

He is mad and cruel.

[She repeats. Jason's cruelty seems greater than anything she has ever seen or hear of, even in the Grail War.]

I have to stop him...

[She looks up to Archer and winces.]

No, we have to stop him, since we are all in this together.

[The way that she winces when she looks at him catches his attention more than her actual words, and he looks at her for a long moment before drawing a conclusion.]

You already know who I am.

I know of someone very much like you. An Archer Class Servant from my Grail War. Yet you seem...a little better than he is.

[And to that, he scoffs.]

You would do well to remember that I am obviously the superior version.

[With that new knowledge under his belt, he assesses the girl again. He still stood by his original assessment that she would not be difficult to deal with if that was his desire.

But he still had no idea who this girl was. She gave off no presence like a Servant. A Master whose Command Spells he could not see?]

Then who are you?

Servant Assassin. Of the Fourth Holy Grail War.

[She holds back from telling him about whether or not she has a Master. Even if he seems to be nicer than the Archer from her world is, she still doesn't like the idea of him bothering Claudia.]

[Another from the Fourth War -- or a Fourth War, really. At this point, he can't say he's surprised to hear how prevalent his own appearance is across other Holy Grail Wars, even if it's somewhat strange that these Servants came from an earlier War.

Ultimately, however, he was more interested in these other versions of himself -- especially with this mentioning of at least one of them owning a weapon that could split heaven and earth.]

And I shall keep your presence in mind as well, Archer.

[She does not make the same offer of alliance as she did with Lancelot. Though she and Claudia are "allied" with the Archer of her world, it is an alliance she would rather not have. Unless Claudia orders her otherwise, she is fine with treating Archer as just another unconnected Servant.]

[He smirks at that answer, turning to make his leave. Though the rusted carnival still left him with that displeased feeling of distaste, meeting a new Servant certainly did improve his mood.

And with that, he drops off of the Ferris wheel.]

[Assassin watches him go. As he disappears from her vision, she does not follow him. She just hops onto another car of the wheel.]
