Characters: Reno, open!
Setting: Check prompts!
Format: Either
Summary: February catchall
Warnings: TBA or check subtitles
Floor Sixty - Any Day
Since starting the project of having an alternate place to eat, run entirely by the residents, Reno's made sure to pop in from time to time to see how it's fairing. Usually, he has some sort of small game with him, sometimes bull fairies, sometimes something from Floor Six. Either way, he tries not to go in empty handed.
He can be found here helping out with butchering, or using the smoker to cure some leather. (He's since taken the actual tanning to the workshop in favor of not making anyone sick with that.)
Hunting - Floor Six or Thirty-Two
Usually early in the morning, Reno can be found out on either forest floor stalking through the forest. He's happy to take along some of the kitchen volunteers, and he usually has extra weapons these days, just in case. And after the incident with the boar, he's even got a very short steel javelin.
Feb 14th
All day he's been feeling irritable and touchy, snapping at the people he knows and are on good terms with to downright yelling and calling people cowards. He's marked with a heart on his forehead in a color that matches his hair. It blends in with the bangs that fall into his face sometimes, but just in case someone misses that, the note pinned to his back is harder to miss. Anyone who crosses him this day are bound to bear the brunt of his ire, whether it's in the workshop, the dorms, or one of his usual working places.
By the late afternoon, he's relocated to the Gym, trying to work off some of the agitation.
Floor 81 - Feb 28 - Closed
After Diarmuid's letters over the last couple of days, Reno did not want to talk to anybody, especially not Diarmuid. That's why he was down here on Eighty-one, organizing the room for that stupid party he's beginning to really think is a mistake, but hey, Cu was looking forward to it.
Rubbing his eyes, Reno took a step back and looked over the arrangement so far. Not too bad, but couple of the tables needed adjusted so nobody would be bumping into chairs...
The events of the last month really wore on the redhead, but this time he wasn't going to tell anyone off about it. They'd figure out just how badly things were going to get, sooner or later, and it set off a malicious jab of satisfaction at the idea.

Feb 14th - Floor 77
Diarmuid is going to be very glad once he is back to normal. At least when he passes the jail floor, he notices the message for the 'special' heart is gone. Of course, considering all the blood around the cell where the message had been, he's not sure if that is a good thing or not. He shivers, and continues down to the infirmary for some pain medication. However, as he is getting it, he realizes he is going to need more than just some pain medication if he wants to get back to searching quickly. Diarmuid needs something that will relax his muscles.
The sauna floor. Of course.
A short time later, Diarmuid arrives in the sauna. He quickly makes his way to the pool, but pauses as he approaches the water, smiling tiredly at the familiar face he sees there.]
Hey, Papa Fox. How are you today?

Was doin' just fine until you walked in. And stop callin' me that, I don't like it.

...and curses under his breath.]
You too, hu?

[He glances back over at the guy, frowning even more deeply than before.]
Get out of here already, I can't stand the sight of you.
no subject
[Diarmuid sighs and slips into the water. Now he has even more reason to get the muscles in his shoulder to loosen up quickly. One more bear to look for on a list that seems to keep getting longer every time he runs into someone.]
I won't be here long.

Feb 16th I apologise in advance for sads
It had been Reno's birthday the day before... Shion bit his lip and got out of bed, before making his way to the kitchen. Everything Reno had said to him echoed around his head, and though he was almost certain Reno had not meant it, as much as Shion had not meant what he had said, it still hurt and it still frightened him. Because it was what he knew himself, that he was weak, a coward and not fit to be Reno's son.
A couple of hours later he made his way to Reno's room, a box of cupcakes in his hands, they were pink (it was the only food colouring in the kitchen...) and the icing was a bit shaky, due to his inability to keep his hands still. The cakes might have a lot of tears in them...
He had planned to just put them on Reno's bed, a note, with equally shaky writing read: Happy Birthday Dad and on the other side: I'm Sorry, for everything. It wasn't signed.
However on his way out Shion went to one of the terminals in the corridor, he had not checked them in a few days. As he turned it on the first thing to come up was footage of a game... A game of Ruana's, the moment Shion saw it he knew where they were...
Whenever Reno returned to his room he would find, as well as the cakes, Shion curled up next to his bed, between the bed and the small table next to it, his head buried in his knees.

Xion can't bake...
After a moment, he looks over and finally spots Shion himself huddling by his bed. Dropping to his knees in front of Shion, he places both hands on his shoulders. He knows that, either Shion had seen what's on the terminals, or he had broken down after delivering the cakes. Either way, he pulled him into a fierce hug.
no subject
But then he was being hugged and he clung to Reno tightly, tears springing into his eyes. "I'm sorry... I should be stronger, did you see..." The words weren't clear, just mumbles into Reno's shirt.
no subject
In time, he will tell Shion nothing he had said is true, when Shion seemed more coherent, and tell him what had happened.

So she came to the forest to train them, flying from tree to tree to get a better feel for how high and how far she could go before tiring herself out. A flash of red hair below catches her eye and she calls out to him]
Hey, what are those weapons for? Are you fighting something?
no subject
I'm going hunting.

[She hangs upside down from one of the tree branches in order to get a look at Reno from a different perspective. Red hair... She remembers it was important for some reason but she can't remember why]

Feb 14th - Gym | Afternoon
While she wasn't purposefully looking for her other half, she's pleased when she actually does find him. She's even wearing the leather coat he's made for her, moving forward to close the gape between them.]
Say there, Mister Director. How about a little dance?
no subject
To say he's surprised to see Elena then is a bit of an understatement, but then he has been all over the Tower...
He stops his routine and takes a few steps toward her, then pales. What if she'd come across him earlier, after what he's said to Shion and Diarmuid?]
El, have you seen any bears?
[Sure, that might be an odd question but it's very, very important...]
no subject
That is, until he talks about bears. Then she just looks confused.]
Bears? [And a few moments later it clicks and she's shaking her head.] No, I haven't. Elusive little bastards. Why do you ask..?
[And the question is intentionally drawn out, tone on the cusp of inquisitive accusation.]
no subject
Never mind. There's some sort of stuffed bear hunt going on.
[At least Shion didn't seem to be in any immediate danger, just potentially nasty to friends and family. There's really worse things that could have happened, but Reno's worried about the effects not returning that heart thing could have on him.
But if she hasn't seen bears there's no point in talking about it more. If she knew she'd just go track the boy down and he didn't want her hearing the same things come from the kid that he did.
Oh, that's right! He almost forgot. Folding his arms and shifting his weight on one foot, he levels a stern glare at her.]
Elena. I have a couple bones to pick with you.
[Judging from his tone of voice...]
Why did you bother Diarmuid behind my back? Are you still talking to people about me? After I told ya not to?
[There's only one way he could have found out that.]

He's not expecting to find Reno on Floor 81, especially not setting up for something, but setting up he is. Usually, Diarmuid would ask what trouble the red head is up to, but that is the last thing that he is worried about when he sees that his friend is just as tense and upset as his letters made it seem.]
I suppose it will be a waste of breath for me to ask you to spare me the song and dance and just tell me what is bothering you so, won't it? Should I just skip to punching you to save some time?
no subject
Sunuva bitch.
[Muttered, and mostly to himself. Why can't the man just go away sometimes?]
Diarmuid, if you want to know more about the broken revivals, go look in the reports archive. Pretty sure I wrote down something about that whole living experiment they tried.
no subject
[Diarmuid sighs and crosses his arms loosely over his chest. It seems like song and dance it's going to be.]
I want to know why you are suddenly back to the way you were acting before we talked about everything. What happened?
no subject
[Reno's turning around now, scratching the back of his head where the red strands flew up trying to turn into spikes.]
Telling you not to worry about it is a waste of breath though. I'm just really disappointed with... people.
