summary: Eridan has found heaven, aka, somewhere to watch movies and forget his life sucks quite as much as it does.
warnings: pity-party? Will add more as necessary.

[After making himself scarce for a bit, trying to get a hold of everything going on ~~and finally finish untangling his goddamn reels~~, Eridan's wandering around the Tower landed him somewhere he almost dare hope wouldn't suck too much. He wasn't sure he wanted to tempt fate and ask how it could suck: there were movies he had never watched there. So after making sure he wasn't going to run into someone he didn't want to, he curled up in a beanbag chair and set up to demolish a pile of movies until he either felt better, the world stopped sucking, or he forgot he felt like shit because the world sucked.

If you enter the media room, you'll find his horns the most recognizable part of his silhouette against the screen where something vaguely violent but definitely adventurous is going on. He's folded his knees to his chest, resting his chin on his knees, and seems completely absorbed by the narrative trying hard to be heard over the explosions and Really Fucking Cool Shit going on in the movie.

[Well, a certain derpy 20 year old had been intending to actually leave his sulking behind and try and cheer himself up with a favorite of his- his old "Learning to Levitate" DVD. It wasn't really a movie, and he wished he hadn't gone through his other books so quick, but it'd surely do the trick. Right?

Sadly, it seemed someone was watching Action Movie #43574, and he stopped his trek to the television. Well. Okay, sure, that was fine too. The DVD case got awkwardly stuffed in his hoodie pocket (it didn't fit), and Ammy crept a little closer, then sat down to watch without saying a word. A little creepy? Probably. But he didn't want to interrupt.]

[Unfortunately - or not - he arrived near the endtail of the movie, where all the explosions and the car chases were at their best, so Eridan didn't notice his arrival.

Until the credits started to roll, he reached for another case, saw his silent companion and very nearly slipped off the chair in surprise.]

...just. Howw long havve you been sittin there?

[Ammy didn't do much more than blink and awkwardly tug at the back of his hood when his sweet stealth was discovered. Normally he'd be more animated, but...it was easier to play off being sad on the network.]

...'bout ten minutes, maybe fifteen.

[He's praticing his Raiden impression, obviously. Someday he too will be able to seemlessly blend in to the social background!!]

I can...scoot back, or something? I don't wanna crowd.

No, it's okay. You just startled me.

[He offers a token small shrug about the whole thing, trying not to be awkward. ~~haha, fat chance~~ And then Eridan notices the DVD half-shoved into the hoodie and ducks his head.]

I'm sorry, wwere you going to wwatch something? I can leavve if you wwant.

[Awkward was Ammy's middle name. Almost.]

Uh, not really? [Way to be the most convincing liar.] I was gonna, but I've watched it like, a bajillion times before and it's kinda just an instructional thing, so.

[Look, he shrugged back. He speaks your language, Jaderi.] I guess I just want to watch something. You don't gotta go, if you're gonna watch other things.

[Eridan nods.]
