[OPEN] and then it just kept getting worse
characters: (jade!) Eridan Ampora and anyone willing to be subjected to movies, self-pity and shrugging.
setting: floor 14 - the media room
format: starting with action, but I'll match your preference
summary: Eridan has found heaven, aka, somewhere to watch movies and forget his life sucks quite as much as it does.
warnings: pity-party? Will add more as necessary.
[After making himself scarce for a bit, trying to get a hold of everything going onand finally finish untangling his goddamn reels, Eridan's wandering around the Tower landed him somewhere he almost dare hope wouldn't suck too much. He wasn't sure he wanted to tempt fate and ask how it could suck: there were movies he had never watched there. So after making sure he wasn't going to run into someone he didn't want to, he curled up in a beanbag chair and set up to demolish a pile of movies until he either felt better, the world stopped sucking, or he forgot he felt like shit because the world sucked.
If you enter the media room, you'll find his horns the most recognizable part of his silhouette against the screen where something vaguely violent but definitely adventurous is going on. He's folded his knees to his chest, resting his chin on his knees, and seems completely absorbed by the narrative trying hard to be heard over the explosions and Really Fucking Cool Shit going on in the movie.
Pester?]

This time, though, she spots a familiar pair of horns and approaches. She sits beside him silently, though. He's so absorbed in the movie that she doesn't want to be rude and interrupt!]

Hey.

Hello! What are you watching?
no subject
Ah,the box said the title was The Ultimator, wwhich I guess it's a human title, because it doesn't say much about it.

She notices the horns right off, and well. Messing with Eridan is always enjoyable to some extent before it gets boring. And she really doesn't have anything better to do right now. She's never really considered him the movie type, though. She shrugs at the thought, venturing further into the media room to drop down on the couch behind him.]
What are you watching, Ampora? Looks boring.
no subject
...are you blind?
no subject
Blind girl is Terezi's department, I wouldn't want to infringe. You didn't answer the question.

[Eridan settled back in place to watch the action going on screen, snorting. Boring! Honestly.]

[Equius enters to the sound of a loud scream and an explosion. He actually does cringe as soon as he goes in, and he can see the illumination of the horns against the brightness; it has to be Eridan, his Eridan, because only his Eridan would sit so religiously close to the screen. Next to him is a pile of film reels, tangled terribly. It does take Equius a moment to identify these, but when he does, he's just going to hover right there over Eridan. He doesn't cast a shadow -- hello light source -- but he does make himself known.]
What happened to these?
no subject
...I wwould like to knoww, myself. I havve words for whoevver's responsible.
[Eridan somehow manages to sink even deeper into the chair, eyes firmly planted on the screen.]
Possibly also a shovvel to the face, as soon as I get my hands on one.
no subject
...Should I try to untangle them for you?
no subject
[That actually causes Eridan to look up at Equius, surprised. Then he looks away, back to the screen.]
You don't have to, it's a pain.

...We should make them watch The Breakfast Club.
...you have the best ideas. >3
Was watching it last night, and all I could think of was how awkward they would be. xD
...let's do this, because they're clearly not awkward enough already, on their own or together.
Clearly.
...oh, and there go Eridan's fashionista sensibilities being offended.
oooo gurl
he considers it community service, really.

In fact, that's what she was heading up to do before discovering that someone had already beat her to it. She wanders in, unable to help the instinctive frown at those horns before she remembers that her Eridan isn't here and the two that are have been nice enough so far.
As she draws closer, she recognises the jade streak that marks this as fellow Time Hero!Eridan and she smiles as she drops to sit by him]
What're you watching?
no subject
[Eridan looks up at Aradia, and offers a small smile as welcome. With his arms wrapped around his ankles, he fiddles with his shoelaces, discretely.]
I'd nevver wwatched any before, so I figured I could givve it a try.
no subject
[Probably she should have asked that before sitting but hey, at least she's asking now?]
no subject
[He fidgets a moment, quietly turning back to the movie. And then,]
Ah, I didn't knoww you liked movvies.

[insert atypical apology given whenever i use ammy here]
Sadly, it seemed someone was watching Action Movie #43574, and he stopped his trek to the television. Well. Okay, sure, that was fine too. The DVD case got awkwardly stuffed in his hoodie pocket (it didn't fit), and Ammy crept a little closer, then sat down to watch without saying a word. A little creepy? Probably. But he didn't want to interrupt.]
Apology denied and unaccepted; Tablestuck is too awesome to be apologized for. <3
Until the credits started to roll, he reached for another case, saw his silent companion and very nearly slipped off the chair in surprise.]
...just. Howw long havve you been sittin there?
i will be forever amazed people who aren't TTSers like TTS... :c <3
...'bout ten minutes, maybe fifteen.
[He's praticing his Raiden impression, obviously. Someday he too will be able to seemlessly blend in to the social background!!]
I can...scoot back, or something? I don't wanna crowd.
but it's amazing and very lovable <3!
[He offers a token small shrug about the whole thing, trying not to be awkward.
haha, fat chanceAnd then Eridan notices the DVD half-shoved into the hoodie and ducks his head.]I'm sorry, wwere you going to wwatch something? I can leavve if you wwant.
lovable if you are not a trollplayer, ahahasob (also sorry i am molasses)
aww (it's okay! <3 there's no rush, no worries)

Willow regularly makes trips up to the media floor, mostly to keep her spirits up and motivated to keep researching and looking for answers. That was a tall order, and sometimes she just needed to take a break and have a dose of horrible cinema. Whatever was on right now seemed like it was right up her alley, so she went over to investigate.]
Oh! Eridan, hi. [She gives him an easy smile, but is overall a little more reserved today.] What are you watching?
no subject
[Eridan offers her a tentative smile.]
Just stuff I found here.

Aradia had me watch the troll version of Indiana Jones, and let me say, that was a surreal experience.
