Summary: The best time to arrive somewhere is during an event. That's exactly what seems to have happened for this kid.
Warnings: Dave being an insufferable prick to everyone ever, sass, cussing, copious amounts of swag, Kim trying to get Dave killed in his intro (I'm being serious).


[Room 1-04]
Dave read the letters. He already thought the first one was utter bullshit. His world was destroyed way before this tower saved his ass. Wow, talk about late to the party. He read the second one a little more seriously. Considering that there probably isn't any way out (he's getting too used to being stuck in places, dear god), he should know how to get around.

He changed out of whatever bullshit he woke up in, putting on one of the broken record t-shirts, jeans, and converse. He made sure his shades were placed perfectly over his face before noticing the collar around his neck.

Dave tapped his finger against the collar, shook his head and headed out.

[Everywhere else ever]
In retrospect, he should have grabbed one of his shitty swords. Oh well.

"Hey." He's probably trying to get your attention. He hates to be the new guy, but Dave really needed to know what he was in for. There had to be more then to what these letters had to say. "On a scale from piece of cake to I warned you dog, how bad of an idea is it to try and get these piece of shits off our necks? We can also use a scale of one to ten if that makes it easier. I would ask where the nearest exit is, but seeing as you're here, it seems like a dumb question to ask."

[Chuckles lightly.] I am desperately hoping it is the latter. There really is no need to jump off of strange cliffs in a fit of despair, after all. [a beat, looking relatively deadpan about this.] Yes, that certainly sounds like it would be an unfortunate turn of events.

Why is that? Do people come back or something? [Not that he had to worry about...dying really.]

Well, end of the world is already covered. Unless you can give me some morbid suggestions, I'm assuming murderous rampage goes under, sucks to be us.

Come back...well, not sure about that. I only hear bits and pieces of rumors. [Then he shrugs lightly.] Do you actually believe the things strangers tell you, or was your world already destroyed prior to arriving here?

[knightime]

I don't really like listening to strangers, no. For me though, my world was a little asteroid flying off into the depths of the unknown. Universe was gone awhile before this place just up and plucked me from who the fuck knows and cares.

[finallycowboys]

[Whoa back dis shit up--]

The universe was gone?

Well, Earth sure as hell wasn't existing by the time I got here. I guess the universe was around, but if I actually explained everything, it would take forever and you'd leave this conversation more confused then before we started talking.

I assure you of that.

A confusing plot line, I can understand that feeling quite well...but I won't badger you for details if you feel it'll inconvenience you that much.

[A beat.] Then being here is a good thing for you?

[knightime]

It wouldn't make much sense anyways. Most of the story is nonlinear, so you won't even know which detail went before what.

I had stuff to do, so it's kind of inconvenient.

I'll take your word for it.

Nothing worse than being plucked out of your own storyline, just to start a strange, off-shoot version of one against your own will.

I guess it keeps us from being bored. Except I didn't need a shitty lying tower telling me we're gonna be best bros forever to keep myself amused.
