Summary: Dolorosa is working with some textiles when she gets interrupted?
Warnings: Possible violence and chocolate plot business.

[ Dolorosa had been working on this dress for a couple weeks now, collecting what scraps she could that fit her needs, but they weren't always easy to come by. It was the veiled cape that had been the most difficult, but she'd finally found the right material, and had gotten the dye to properly take.

It was almost finished, and soon she would't have to continue wearing this silly jumpsuit any longer. It only needed one last addition: her sign. It had been sweeps since she'd last worn it, or even been allowed to see it, but she ever forgot its shape, and so making the thread follow her whims until it took form was accomplished without mistake, and only the slightest pause.

It was a form of therapy, this dress. A reclamation of her identity. Within the hour, once properly garbed, she would once again be fully herself. ]

Pretty much, but they're as shitty as the people spreading them so it doesn't bother me too much. If they want to look like moronic windbags it's not my problem.

Well, I suppose it's preferable if the sources aren't generally given credence. You're lucky if the barbs fail to catch, in their attempts to tear into you.

There's not much use in crying as general rule of thumb. Piling shit on top of it doesn't help it any.

I don't believe I would agree. It can be a successful form of release, when appropriate.

Containing the impulse can be more damaging, when its fulfillment becomes necessary.

All it does is make you look like you've stuck your face in a sauna, which in my world doesn't solve jack shit. If anything needs to be released it can get out through doing something productive.

Well, such a display wouldn't generally be accepted on most worlds, I think. Such a maneuver can communicate vulnerability, often interpreted as weakness.

Perhaps, for these reasons, best done in private, if possible.

Best done not at all. It's got nothing to do with vulnerability, it's just a useless waste of time. [this is such a huge lie. it's all about vulnerability for Rose, about appearing to have a handle on situations no matter what the crisis was, about being invincible. heroes didn't cry.]

One can never disconnect entirely from her emotions. Much as she might try, they will often arise in unexpected ways.

Yeah, sometimes I feel kind of sad for brainless idiots instead of wanting to punch them. Feelings are flippy like that. [said as sardonically as possible. sorry Mamarosa, she just doesn't buy that thinking]

Well, I should think surliness may still qualify for that designation. Or would it perhaps be more of a disposition, informed by other emotions?

That is just one of those mysteries you'll never find the answer to. Am I just naturally disagreeable or in fact a massive fucking hypocrite? The world will never know. [she smirks a little]

And that shoudn't necessarily be needed to known to the world at large, as long as you remain aware of that answer in relation to yourself.

That depends on whether your species always rattles off a laundry list of personal questions to people they've just met or not.
