❝It's a brand new day❞
Characters: Willow (
guiltapalooza), jade Eridan (
chronomancer) and Dawn (
littlemissnobody). CLOSED.
Setting: Starts on the dorm floors.
Format: Action tags yes?
Summary: She's going to cheer her gloomy friends up and no buts about it. Oh and P.S., backdated to before Buffy gets here.
Warnings: Nada! Maybe mention of past violence, I guess.
[Willow is determined. She is dauntless. She is going to do this.
She's going to make sure Eridan-- the other one-- knows that she doesn't blame him for anything that'd happened on the stairwell the other day, and check in on him, all while not making him talk about it. She well knows the value of not making someone talk about something. Post-crisis friendship bonding was an important Scooby tradition, meant to stabilize the relationship again and return things to normal after trauma.
Eridan doesn't know to expect it from her, she's sure, but he's going to find out. And she has the perfect pretense for it: Dawn would probably feel better if she had some friends here, and Eridan was close to her age. Willow also knows that Dawn has a hard time making friends herself, as much as she denies it, so it'll really kill two birds with one stone by cheering up both the people in her life that need cheering up.
All of this is why she's standing in front of Eridan's room and knocking on his door. Her cheerfulness is maybe a little aggressive, but really, just a little.]

[He shrugged.]
I kind 'a just shot anythin' vaguely troll-shaped that approached my hive too much for comfort. On the upside, if it's daylight and it's moving, chances are it's somethin' that should be killed dead. Repeatedly.

I didn't realize you lived somewhere that dangerous. Or were doing that much slaying. [It admittedly doesn't really fit with her mental image of him, which is more or less as her boyfriend's cute younger brother that needed a self-esteem boost.]

Good strategy...except wait, does that mean rainbow drinkers can actually be shot? And, you know, not stand up afterwards all sorry, it wasn't wooden and pointy, it doesn't count.

[Eridan shrugged, then grinned, nasty and full of teeth and the grim satisfaction of a skull going bang.]
I've never seen anythin' stand up again after I shoot their head clean off.

Well, if you like watching zombie heads go pop after you shoot 'em, probably a good place to live? If extremely with the eugh.
no subject
Ah, yeah, that'd do it. Haven't come across many things that can survive once their head's no longer attached.

[He shrugged.]
I'm not exactly known for my flawless decision making.
[And now he's back to grinning self-deprecatingly.]

I think we all have our moments.

[And an eager nod at Willow's comment]
Oh yeah. I have them all the time. It's what makes us human...or, well, human and/or troll.

[He shrugs.]
At least here no one can get hurt because of my atrocious decision making anymore.

You are determined to be optimistic, aren't you, Willow?

Might as well pretend there's some unicorns around while we're at it. Unicorns are totally where it's at.

[Dawn shoots Willow a disdainful look]
The only people who care about unicorns are the under fives and Harmony.
