Characters: Ahri and Dualscar!
Setting: Spring floor!
Format: Action
Summary: Um.... I have no idea where this is going to go.
Warnings: SEE ABOVE?
[Ahri has adapted pretty well to the tower, all things considered. There are floors she's determined to avoid and the computers still confuse the hell out of her, but she's pretty resilient.
This floor is her favorite for obvious reasons. As much as she longs to be human, nature is still very calming to her. She knows exactly how things go here and there aren't many things that confuse or surprise her. At the moment she's sitting under a tree, tails curled up lazily in her tails.]

mostly that it was too cheery. it was too bright, causing him to subconsciously want to withdraw from it to someplace darker, and the sheer amount of color (that not being of bloodsplatters) was a little jarring. for someone accustomed to the vast expanse of the ocean, always black in hue save for the reflection of the moons, it was certainly. different.
and 'different' was something he didn't like, either. frankly, there wasn't much he did-- yet, here he was. if only for investigatory purposes.
usually, if there was another here, dualscar would completely ignore them but it's her instead. not that that should matter much, because it doesn't. he draws nearer, boots almost purposely crushing whatever flower unfortunate enough to plant itself in his path, and halts a few paces away.]
Hello.

What?
no subject
he's learning.]
You never answered your question.
no subject
What question?

but points, also, for thinking she's worth knowing more about beyond her being an abominable barkbeast. maybe.]
Your species.
no subject
It's complicated.
[That's all she really cares to say on the subject.]
no subject
not to say he's completely sensitive to her plight.]
Explain.

[his tone is clipped and a touch on the defensive, perhaps. she asked him a question, he answered honestly. and he's been as polite as anyone beneath him deserves to receive; thus, he's not seeing the problem with himself here. it was only that she was overly sensitive.
he taps a claw idly against one of the straps to his gun.]
You didn't seem to think that way before.
no subject
I didn't think that way before you insulted me.
no subject
Was I supposed to lie?
no subject
You shouldn't have said anything at all.
[She'd prefer that he didn't think it, either, but she can't really control that.]
no subject
[dualscar grinds his teeth together, voice escalating in volume slightly. he can't keep the condescension and disgust from his tone, the emphasized very nearly on par with mockery.]
Are you really so insecure with your own identity?
no subject
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
no subject
[it's a little ridiculous just how misplaced his anger is at this moment. and he finds he doesn't know a straight answer to her question, either-- besides finding his own.]
Comprehension, perhaps.
no subject
I used to be a fox. Now I'm... Nearly human.
no subject
I see.
[the tapping of his claw slows as he further appraises her, expression surprisingly neutral for the moment, however irritated he actually may be with her and, for that matter, the entirety of the situation.]
Is that all?
no subject
That's all I want to tell you.
no subject
Then, that seemed an overreaction.
no subject

no subject
You're certainly a pleasant person to talk to.
no subject
So I think you've said.
no subject
What are you doing?
no subject
[scoffs, as if this was obvious the most obvious thing in the world, she's rude for making him stand for so long, using weapons in seemingly harmless manners were a normal thing to do, and how could she not want his company.
if no, he'll think of a different approach. namely: none at all.]
