And so another day goes by...
Characters: Xion (OU) and Ven (OU) and Namine, later open to all.
Location: Wherever Ven and Namine are, later either Library or the 15th Floor
Format: I'll match you!
Summary: After two incredibly improbable cases of mistaken identity, Xion goes to find someone with answers. Later, she takes an interest in sewing.
Warnings: Nothing currently, will update as needed.
[This was long, long overdue. Vanitas thinking she was someone else and almost killing her had been a scare enough. She might have been able to dismiss it as some kind of fluke, or just avoided him and had done with it. But then it had happened again, with someone else entirely. Suddenly a passing question was a very pressing one, and she had a few people she wanted to scout out to ask them about it. She checks their rooms first, already knowing the way to Ven's room and checking the nameplates for Namine's.]
[Later in the day, she can be found, hood up as she pokes around floor 15. The weather seemed to be warming up fairly quickly, had ever since the new month had started, but she was in no mood to ever repeat what had happened at the end of February, with them being so cold they could barely move. So... clothing or blankets or something. Maybe a scarf? She couldn't find any anywhere, besides the other rooms which could eventually have people in them. So... maybe there was another way?
So she'll be poking around the fabrics and equipment on Floor 15, never mind that she has no idea what most of this is even for...
A little after that, she can be found in the library, too. Looking for books on blankets and clothes... She's not sure which books will help her the most in this case, given that that kind of knowledge just hadn't been necessary for Organization life.
Wherever she is, though her hood is up. She doesn't want any more cases of mistaken identity.]

[She has a couple books, but they're not too thick or heavy or anything. She was trying to get some more before she sat down to see if any were what she was looking for.
If Riku looks closer, he'll see that a lot of the books have to do with clothes. They're maybe not the best books if one is just learning to sew but... cut her some slack she's never done this before. orz]
I thought I might try and see if I could make scarves and things, in case it ever gets cold again like it did last month.
no subject
You know, that's not a bad idea. Never hurts to be prepared.

[She glances down at the books in her hands, then back up, a little nervous]
So... how are you?
no subject
I'm fine. Just kind of confused about something.
no subject
What do you mean?
[Maybe it was something she could help with?]
no subject
[He takes a deep breath, trying to find the proper phrasing.]
Did you run into anybody who looked like Sora, but wore a black coat?
no subject
I did. I didn't get their name though.
[Though she had her suspicions. She's never confirmed them, it was funny how well both of them had danced so neatly around the issue of their identities...]
I don't think it was Sora, though.
no subject
[He takes a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. Okay, here goes nothing. He can't just deny it.]
She told me that her name was Xion.

Those three words, and so many of the things she'd wondered were confirmed in an instant. So now she had her own double walking the Tower. One who looked like Sora.
Was it the same thing with her looking like Ven sometimes? Only she had a feeling that there was something different going on. If she'd thought it was herself, not Sora, would she have seen Sora? She wasn't really sure how it worked, except it had to do with memories.
Memories.
This Riku had said that the Organization had messed with the memories of the Sora in his own world, and he'd seemed so angry. She wasn't from that world, but here she was, living proof the Organization had done the same in her own. It's what causes her to tense visibly, her hands tightening around the books she's just set down. She refuses to look up.
Why was he bringing this up at all?
It's a struggle before she's able to find her voice.]
Sh-she did?
no subject
Her reaction makes it crystal clear that just making the connection's distressed her. But what is the connection really? And why did her double look so much like Sora? Sound like him, even?
Riku hesitates for a moment before he slowly nods. No point in denying it now.]
That's right.

The big thing now... is whether or not she wants to wait for him to ask the questions she knows he will. They had... they were sort of friends. She didn't look up to him the same way she looked up to the Riku from her own universe, but she still trusted him. After that awful night, she knew she could trust him to have her back in a fight.
And they weren't exactly unfriendly either. That one time, with the campfire she'd set up... the talk they'd had then was nice.
She doesn't want to lose that, and yet...
Her voice is quiet.]
Your universe isn't the only one where the Organization messed with Sora's memories.
no subject
Okay, deep breaths. There's no turning back now.]
What do you mean?
1/2
[She doesn't know how or why, she has her suspicions, based on what Riku - the one from her world - has told her in the past, but nothing she can confirm.]
I'm just a puppet, made by the Organization. Some of Sora's memories... I don't know how, but they found their way inside me. Especially his memories of Kairi. Because of that... Sora is asleep, and he can't wake up.
[And she does not sound happy about this. At all.]
2/2
You... can see me, can't you? But... even me still looks like her, doesn't it?
[Like Kairi.]
no subject
Wow, that's a lot to take in. He's not even sure what to make of it. After all, his Sora's in a pretty awful state, split between Heartless and Nobody, and even then, he's only ever seen the Nobody up close.
And Xion wound up getting Sora's memories inside her... He's not sure how that works, but from the sound of it, it's not something she wanted herself. While it pains him to learn that this is what became of her universe's Sora, is it really her fault?
He nods the moment she asks about her appearance.]
Yeah. I almost thought you were her at first.
no subject
I didn't even know, until I started remembering things about the two of them. Before that... I didn't know what I was, and I didn't remember anything before I joined the Organization at all.
[She'd thought they might be her own memories. Somehow. And eventually she'd gone looking for answers, and found a lot more than she'd bargained for.
And then, back to the reason this whole thing had started...]
I... I don't know about the other me, but it probably has to do with memories, too. Why she looks like Sora.
[Maybe she got different memories. Maybe she got more or less... or the Organization did something to the memories they'd put inside her. She... really had no idea.]
no subject
[He pauses, still trying to work out what this all means. The idea of Sora's memories getting absorbed into another being disturbs Riku, but at the same time, it's not like she knew what was going on. If she had the choice, she probably wouldn't have done it. Wouldn't it make more sense to blame the Organization, then?
Sigh.]
Technically, the Organization had their own 'puppet' in my universe, too.
[And he's done some mulling it over. Being away from his Replica has given him time to think.]
The thing is, the Organization's at fault for what happened. Not just with him, but you too. If what you say is true, then it's not like you had a choice.
