Characters: Legolas Greenleaf (
keeps_count) and OPEN
Setting: Room 3-02, Cafeteria, meadow floor, anywhere else you wanna bump into him
Format: Starting with prose, both formats are good though
Summary: A blonde elf wakes up in a tower with word that Middle Earth is gone. A persistent search for his (still living) friends ensues.
Warnings: Potential for violence due to mistaken identity?
Room 3-02
The lack of ability to move, feeling like he couldn't breathe, Legolas had to fight not to jump to his feet and search for a threat when he finally regained his ability to move. His breathing remained even when he got to his feet, blue eyes carefully roaming around the room. The note went largely unnoticed for the time being while he went to investigate the trunk.
He was glad to find his clothes in there, his bow and a quiver full of arrows. Legolas didn't really waste much time in changing, tugging lightly at the collar and adjusting his clothes to fit more comfortably around it before slinging the quiver over his shoulder and sheathing his twin knives beneath the quiver. And finally he placed a sheathed Rohirric sword around his waist and a white knife. All equipment he had with him a century ago when he joined the Fellowship of the Ring, to assist Frodo.
That was so long ago. What was he going to do about Gimli? He had been taking him to the Undying Lands with him. They would have been reunited with Gandalf and Frodo, Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel.
The elf sat on his bed and sighed a bit. Then spotted the letter. And the elf read it, carefully because it had been many years since he'd read anything in the tongue of Man. And then he read it again before crumpling it. Middle Earth was gone? Did that mean Gimli was gone as well? The old Dwarf never having a chance to see the Undying Lands?
Cafeteria
Legolas had the foresight to bring along a chunk of Lembas bread with his when he entered the cafeteria and was handed the bowl of oatmeal. He'd had worse food, he was sure, but that was a long time ago. He'd happily enjoyed the food of his people, and of the dwarves for a century now.
He was at least mature enough not to poke at his food or make disgusted faces at it. Legolas ate it in silence and them ate some Lembas bread to get the taste from his mouth.
Floor 25/Meadow
Legolas sat cross legged, relaxing in the middle of the meadow. His weapons are set on the ground beside him, as if they disturb the bit of peace this place offers. It's not the same though. He wanted to be near the sea now. He even starts to quote something.
"Legolas Greenleaf, long under tree,
In joy thou hast lived. Beware of the Sea!
If thou hearest the cry of the gull on the shore,
Thy heart shall then rest in the forest no more."
Anywhere else
The tower residents may find a blonde young man, barely looking more than twenty years of age, and with pointy ears wandering around. He's very heavily armed but walking casually, with only his bow in hand.
Oh, and he has pointy ears.

Oh, and he has pointy ears.

Heeelloooo new roomie
It was an elf. A rather strange, tallish Bosmer. Or was he an Altmer? He didn't appear to have the golden hue that was so common with members of that race, but Tamriel had known such oddities as cross species couples before. Emperor Pelagius the Mad himself had a half-Dunmer for a son.
Flicking his wrist, he cast his chameleon spell and let the magicka take effect before edging into the room, and watched the elf for a moment reading the letter, and it did not appear as if he had touched Lucien's trunk.
So, what was he doing here? Lucien wondered, watching Legolas that until his spell faded suddenly, exposing his presence there. Damn it! For some reason ever since coming here his spells had been a little weak.
Hello person who reminds him too much of Saruman!
"Mae govannen." The words slip out in elvish, as his spell wears off. He's used to wizards understanding the elvish tongue. Legolas didn't look up from the crumpled letter immediately, but after a moment he did and spared a glance at the man.
He reminded him of a wizard that had died years ago. One that he and his companions cared little for.

"Greetings to you." He said cautiously, deciding not to kill the mer- just yet. "What are you doing in my room?" Lucien had not quite accepted the fact he would be sharing a room here. This was the first time he hadn't had the room to himself, and the idea did not sit comfortably with him. He usually slept alone and well protected, but definitely alone.
no subject
"This was the room that I awoke it. It seems we will be sharing it." Not finding this a proper time to mention how little he actually slept, Legolas passed over the fact for now. "My belongings were even placed in a trunk here." A hand extended to indicate his trunk.

Meadow
Maybe it was nice and happy and comforting to other people, when they could get over the dissonance of the fact that a hellhole like this Tower had a meadow sitting in the middle of it. Unfortunately, meadows didn't really hold the same connotation to him as they did to most people; he would frankly be much more at ease in a basement laboratory, several degrees below freezing, working. He never really did get outside much, so he had no fondness with which to protect Floor 25 when he considered that there were probably terrible things creeping around in the grasses, just like everywhere else.
Earlier that day he had spotted Legolas in the cafeteria floor, pushing down the oatmeal. He'd been here for long enough to know that eating the wretched mush was one of the best ways to tell if someone had just arrived recently; anyone who had a choice would refuse to touch it. Interestingly, this person (who had long blond hair and pointed ears -- possibly related to several other people in this tower with the same characteristics?) had brought bread along, and this was what caught his attention; either the man had been informed of the oatmeal clause early, or he was just well prepared.
Scuffling through the grasses with several books under his arm, this was the second time Ienzo had seen him in one day. Strange on its own, and enough to make him reconsider; if he was going to waste time anywhere in this place, it might as well be here. --Keeping a fair distance from the other person, of course. But after a bit of walking, he nearly brought his foot down on a long wooden dowel; upon further inspection, it seemed to be an arrow. The man, still a ways away, had several weapons strewn about next to him, among them a bow. Putting the pieces together himself, Ienzo picked up the arrow and approached Legolas.
"Is this yours?"
no subject
"It is, le hannon. Thank you." Legolas corrected himself quickly, speaking his thanks in the tongue of Man. Never had he been so careless as to allow an arrow to escape his quiver. This place must have distracted him more than he had thought it might. His eyes moved to the books under his arm and smiled.
"You are a student?"

"An equally effective method of learning. In my youth, I used to pour over books in every language I could find before I focused on more important tasks." Following his fathers footsteps, which he never would do so properly, and learning different fighting skills.

He held onto Sanshi's hand as they walked into the meadow, it no longer was as peaceful for him after Gohran had killed Eridan here. Still it was as close to bloodless for the most part, as any part of the tower could be.
He spotted the man who had pointy ears a little bit like Link, he edged a little closer, wrapped in an oversized cloak and holding tightly to Sanshi's hand. He eyed the weapons warily but gave a small smile. "Hello..."
no subject
"Hello. You're welcome to join me." He offered, moving his weapons away from a, what he thinks it, particularly comfortable spot. Elves and their nature, although he couldn't say that. Gimli had come to enjoy a lot of nature with him.

"Thank you... I... sorry I haven't seen you before."

Well, it's enough to make her curious, in any case.
So Legolas may or may not hear a young woman quietly approaching, keeping a respectful distance once she stumbles upon him. Seeing his pointed ears, however, makes her eyes widen, and, well, she certainly can't go without asking about them.]
... Pardon me.
[He... almost looks Hylian, but at the same time, there's something off...]
no subject
Can I help you?
[Legolas stands and turns towards her, smiling slightly. And then the smile widens, just a bit, at the sight of her pointed ears.]
no subject
[Um. Oh gosh, how to put this politely. There's a slight pause as she bites the inside of her lip, swallowing her nerves.]
Pardon me for my presumptuousness, but... you are not Hylian, by chance, are you?
no subject
[There's a confused tone to his voice. It wasn't a word from his own language for any of the different Elves in Middle Earth so this was apparently a race or group he wasn't familiar with.]
I am Elvish, my lady. Should you not know that? You look as though you'd be of the elves, perhaps of Lady Galadriel's kin.

Meadow BECAUSE LINK. Also Ocarina because Link. :V
If he happens to explore the noise a bit, he'll find another blonde-haired, pointy-eared person that could most certainly be mistaken as an elf. They're not wearing anything very ornate, just a simple blue tunic, boots, gloves with silver on them. They, too, are armed heavily, with a reflective shield, a long sheathed blade, and a bow and quiver of their own.
It is obvious now that the music is coming from this person's instrument: a blue Ocarina with ornate markings on it.
They don't seem particularly dangerous, either. ]
:3
He gathered his weapons and refitted everything around his waist and over his shoulders before walking the short distance to where the playing was. Legolas was used to treading lightly, so Link probably wouldn't notice him until a light clearing of the throat.]
these two are criminally gorgeous sob
Though, of course, the Hylian isn't startled enough so as to stop playing abruptly; instead, they come to a rather quiet end. ]
... Ah.
[ There is a familiar feeling about this man. Hylian, perhaps? Link cannot help but notice the similarities, especially in the ears. ]
I apologize, did I disturb you?
[ Link... is very curious now, if this person is Hylian or not. ]
They are!!
WOW this is late I am so sorry???
It's okay!!

Cafeteria
The Oatmeal of Animus. The terrible foe every newcomers has to
beat at least once to prove their worth. An unavoidable trial, cruel yet necessary. A meal as evil as Saruman, as disgusting as Eowyn's stew and as fearsome as the Armies of Mordor, all in one. ]Quite disturbing, isn't it?
[ Especially considering Elves are very sophisticated, educated people, used to the best kind of food. Note, Gandalf keeps a straight face all along. ]
No worries though, this gets slightly better.
no subject
Sorry Gandalf, Legolas is grinning a bit.]
Gandalf, old friend. You are the last I'd expect to see in this place.
no subject
And mind-killing when they'll realize it. ]I didn't expect to see you as well my friend.
[ He smiles a bit as well then nods. ]
It's both good to see you, and at the same time I wish you wouldn't have been taken into this tower.
