Prelude ♫ Introduction
Characters: Zelda and you!
Setting: Around the tower.
Format: Starting in brackets.
Summary: The eff is this. We are not amused. :| Also, music and exploration.
Warnings: None yet; will edit if something comes up.
[After the chaos of the past few days, hearing soft music ringing throughout the tower might seem disorienting. Perhaps it's another trick, something to lull one into a false sense of security... but those that follow the medley will find it has nothing to do with the tower itself.
Rather, it's coming from a regal looking young woman and the small blue instrument that she carries with utmost care. Those sensitive to it will feel magic resonating with the notes themselves, swelling and building with each song until ultimately...
Nothing. It just vanishes into thin air.
The young woman sighs, a look of frustration crossing her face, and continues on in her exploration.]

I thought as much. It is rather ill fitting for a place that claims to be a safe haven.
[Though she doesn't know how they are dangerous, exactly, she assumes the worst. Seriously, she does not trust the maintainers of this place as far as she can throw them.
But she follows along after Link, and now that she actually has time to take in her surroundings beyond the cursory "is something in this room going to kill me or not" glance, she's noticing a few more details. Like the screens with names on them near the dorm doors.]
I suppose these indicate who lives in which room...
[Oh gosh, can she even remember what was near her door-- one name started with a C, didn't it...?]

But you get a nod. ]
On the note of this place being far from a safe haven, if you do not sleep in the beds they provide here, you will die.
[ Seriously. Sigh, Link does not like the rules of this place. Speaking of which, the collars suck too. She'd better tell Zelda all she knows--it'll at least make things more tolerable. ]
I am not sure what these necklaces are for, however, but they require us to see the infirmary once a week to change whatever fluid is in them. Fighting is... unwise.
[ Protip: she tried that. It went over poorly. ]

I... see. Duly noted.
[Just what exactly are they dealing with here...? At the mention of it, she touches her own collar, contemplating.]
My initial guess would be identification of some sort, but if they need to be cleaned regularly, then...
[Hmmm. There has to be some explanation...]

... Considering their technology isn't something we're familiar with, I can only guess. It may be something we may not be well... versed in.
[ Don't be her, Zelda. Don't put arrows in the Terminals. ]
Some of the floors are more dangerous than most. Especially at night.

She frowns just a bit, but nods, filing that information away for later. Don't worry, she's not about to start messing with things she doesn't fully understand. Since, y'know, Bad Things happened last time she tried that.]
Which ones would you deem safe?

Off of mere memory... the topmost floors, the dormitories, are likely the safest area as of now. The twenty-fifth to twenty-second floors seem to be safe, also. However, the twenty-fourth gives me a bad feeling... I'd be wary and not delay there. The twenty-third seems to... be missing in some form, and the twenty-first is some sort of eating establishment, though I think it would be wiser to simply eat at the cafeteria on the first floor. I don't like the feeling I get about their "prices".
[ Deep breath. What else? Link has actually been working on memorizing the layouts of each floor and the Tower itself, because this was important to know. ]
The first to fifth floors are relatively safe as well, but the sixth has strange, deformed creatures inside it that disable magic if you wander too far from the staircase. Floor eleven is only dangerous at night time, where strange Phantoms spawn... they remind me of Poes. They, too, can cancel all but basic skills. Floor seventeen is... unsettling, and I would advise against lingering there. That is as far as I know of the more dangerous ones, at least. The rest are relatively safe if you are careful.
[ Speaking of which they are nearing the stairs! ]
