☆ A Gloomy Person
Characters: The Anguished One, and anyone else pulled in.
Setting: Floor 38, the upper lounge, and floor 36, where the staircase crumbles.
Format: Any is fine, it's up to you guys. :|b
Summary: For all he knows, he fell during the fight with Polaris. Time to dwell on this! And then later, getting stumped by stairs.
Warning: Sorta-jittery staralien waxing poetic on his angst, followed by also jumping being a very new activity.
The world he knew was now out of his reach. It was gone from him, he could feel it.
Awakening in such a condition had left him more rattled than he had ever felt, but it wasn't the sinking despair of failure, not really...it was how cut off he was. His instinct had been to call for his demons, or to teleport back to the the Shining One's side, but nothing answered. He was alone in a strange room, within some other world, and last he could recall was the true face of Polaris staring them down. Only then did he truly despair at the amount of loss he'd suffered, but it wasn't the same sort of terror most would have felt. He had known their gamble from the start. If they had failed, then he was forced to accept it.
[Floor 38]
But, why was he still conscious? Was this some strange punishment, enacted by Polaris? Maybe he was still at the record, and the others were outside, still fighting? His priority became to find some sort of view outside, but when he arrived on the lounge floor, his insides seemed to still. The Anguished One approached the glass, peering out in to the nothingness...then sat down in front of it, curling his arms around his knees and kept watching.
He decided then that he had been foolish for ever trying to challenge Polaris.
[Floor 36]
After spending quite some time sorting out the gravity of his current situation, the Anguished One decided to try and motivate himself for exploration- but only made it to floor thirty-six before he hit a snag. Once he hovered in to the floor, he found...his feet on the ground? And despite his best efforts, he could not get himself up and flying once again. While this was odd and troubling, that wasn't as bad as when he eventually came to the edge of the staircase, when jumping became required. He could walk of course (even if he did so like it was weird), but...he'd never leaped anywhere without hovering or flying to make the difference. Was he willing to chance that? Would it be better to first wonder about his density on this new world...? Or was he simply overthinking it?
Regardless, he'd be stuck in awkward contemplation mode while standing at the edge for quite some time, at this rate.

There's a young man standing behind Al, but he's been there for a few minutes, strangely silent until those last few seconds. His normally tanned face was a little pale for some reason, and beads of sweat were starting to form on his forehead. Something, some form of mental potential dwelled within this young man (could that be...Apollo? Why was he hiding in this boy's mind?), but from the look on his face, it was clear to anyone else watching that he felt something from "Al Saiduq", but was unsure what, exactly.
Then his eyes moved toward the stairs and he blinked in surprised. "Oh, uh..." Well. That explained why Al was just standing there...
hi i'm just gonna pre-emptively apologize for him being pretentious and/or overbearing
"Ah, Apollo." His voice had a certain airy quality, or it was just the fact that he was wearing a striped shirt with frills at the neck. Saiduq gestured towards the distant step, not bothering to turn. "What do you make of our situation, I wonder? Would it be best to leap forward in to this new realm, or..."
Saiduq looked over his shoulder, what had been a sort of smile diminishing. Though he felt the god, something was off. "...Apollo?"
Usually, when a god or demon took a human body, they did not exactly both have dual existence; Lugh had been more than proof enough, in his world. So, how? Saiduq turned completely to face the boy, holding his hand to his mouth to hide his concern. "I may have misspoke. I apologize."
s'cool s'cool
"...It's fine." Apparently, you say that. Tatsuya nodded at the guy and proceeded to stare at the gap, assessing how far it was. And, since he was a Track and Field kid...
"I could make it, I think." Long jump.

HE FEELS LIKE STARS MAYBE? Or not. Imagin are weird.]...are you okay, sir?
no subject
Ah? [The comment made Alcor shake out of his reverie, leaning on the balls of his feet to try and peer at the odd...creature? Demon? Was this an unfamiliar god? How odd.]
...I'm afraid I can't fly over this. [Oh well, whatever he was, he wasn't human, to be sure. And thus might understand his situation.] I'm afraid I've not much skill in...jumping. I'm not quite sure how to cross.
no subject
Well, jumping is fairly simple - you push off the ground with your feet enough to get up in the air for just a few moments.

Protag Party - Floor 38
It was then that he spotted Al, and walked over to hi, his breathing in huffs as he had run around.
"You okay?" he asked him a few seconds later as he sat close by, offering a smile as he crossed his legs together. "New here, like me?"
...man a lot of protags are agi/zio sun goddish dudes aren't they
"New to this place, which is itself a new horror. No place was unknown to me before."
Maybe if he curled up tight enough, or pushed hard enough, he could enter his true form and find his way to space? ...too risky. He wouldnt be able to turn back.
"And yet I do not believe that I should be curt with one such as Amon-Ra. We might as well be kin." Alcor looked over his shoulder, fixing the boy with a dead stare. He wasn't emotionally prepared to realize the implications of what he was sensing, not yet.
"I apologize for any rudeness. I am having some difficulty adjusting."
First two games then it's all FOOLS from then on I mean.
"Amon-Ra? Then you know about my Persona." That was rather strange. Usually this would be figured out during a battle or a confrontation, but this seemed hardly either or. "Are you a user?"
well at least one of those FOOLS at least started with zio
True true.

He really needed to get over it. He shook his head as he entered the lounge area, and noticed a figure sitting by the glass. He made his way over to where the other sat.
"...Are you alright?"
and further apologies for him being morose, sob
"You are not Hyperion." The statement was a bit lacking in the social grace department, but it was a start? "Does he stir inside you, or are you simply his husk?"
it is okay o>

Sayaka's trailing alongside the walls, bouncing her fingers on the glass as she goes and.. thinks, mostly. She's also nursing a couple bruises from a fistfight yesterday that she's not wasting magic to heal, but thanks to long sleeves and socks on school uniforms ~no one has to know that~.
Then she nearly trips over Alcor because she's not looking where she's going whoops.
no subject
Oh thank god it's not another persona-user his heart couldn't handle that I meanAlcor wasn't exactly good at being a roadblock, considering his reaction to being tripped over was to try and move out of the way instead of shrinking down. He would have raised a brow at Sayaka's graceful tumble if he knew how, and instead he peered over at her curiously."Are you okay?"
Geez, and he thought he had it rough.
no subject
Her complaining is mostly noise, though, and Sayaka's recovered from the tumble in a second or so. Smoothing down her skirt, she turns to the person she'd nearly tromped all over - "Woah, sweet eyeshadow. I didn't know it came, uh, that light."

Floor 36 never calls Alcor a consistent name in RPland
Fado didn't really have any business prying, but he needed something to do at the least! He had his hands almost folded behind his back, holding his violin in bow as he stood near the Anguished One with a smile.
what the hell is this kid having a consistent name
It was the first time Alcor was ever startled.
He'd popped in on the Shining One and his friends so often and hadn't understood why they reacted so oddly, but when the shoe was on the other foot...Saiduq nearly took a tumble over the edge, barely regaining his balance.
This is why being ground-bound was the stupidest thing ever.
magic??
"Forgive me! I didn't mean to startle you that badly," said with an apologetic smile.
his name can't be magic silly

"...Are you alright?" When someone sit here and just stare out at the view, Minato assumed they're deep in thought. What kind of thoughts, he don't know. Only if the person want to tell him.
Deep within this boy, there are multiple presences within him. Some was more noticeable than others.
no subject
It didn't make sense, but mankind was always finding new ways of surprising him. This was simply another step along that road. "You house so many within you." Blunt, to the point, and with a small smile. Social tact went out the window when he could feel half the world within the sea of your soul, Minato.
no subject
"...How did you know?" Curiosity. The last time someone can simply sensed them, they're a fellow Persona-user. So what does that make this man?

Floor 38 /late backtagging yeahhh PROTAG PARTY COMPLETE
But oh man, this teen has something weird going on within him. He REEKS of... well, death.
Though he certainly doesn't seem to be bothered by it. And he definitely has to be human.
He is, presently, listening to Queen, undisturbed until he watches the other cross and then sit in front of the glass, at which point he can't help but glance over, sigh, remove a headphone, and then go over to see what their deal is.
Obviously new. The gesture reeked of newbie-ness. That, or trauma, and the last big trauma... he hadn't known him to be involved. Therefore... ]
... You seem a little down. Among the recently kidnapped, I'm guessing?
oh boy oh boy his protag collection is nearly complete!!!!!
Yes. And do you come for my soul? I'm afraid I've not one to give you, Death.
[He didn't even blink or turn from his gaze. There was too much exhaustion in him to bother with such things.]

A well-dressed, middle-aged man stands over from behind the Anguished One. Contrary to the boy's troubled look, the man seems to be in better spirits. He had a pleasant, kind smile looking over the absolute nothingness from beyond the glass. His bright, yellow eyes alone seemed to convey a reflection of that nihilistic scenery to its exact detail alone.
"Someone might trip over you if you stay there for too long. What's troubling you?"
hkdflksahfjklas
Alcor had seen many of man's feelings from an observer's point of view. For centuries he watched and waited, counted their achievements and smiled at their potential.
But there had always been a part of mankind that had scared him, filled him with doubt, that which gave him his name. Their darkness, despair and doubt-
And that presence lurked behind him, nearly overwhelmingly. He didn't move. He wasn't sure if he could have. His voice wavered as he curled inwardly, his eyes glancing up the slight reflection of the glass in to that face.
"Απελπισία...%%ΨΘΣ..."
It took the star a moment to not decide to speak Greek wingdings.
"I should not be surprised by your presence here."
Well, it WAS bound to happen.
I feel all lucky getting a thread before Nyarly's intro dfskg
