☆ A Gloomy Person
Characters: The Anguished One, and anyone else pulled in.
Setting: Floor 38, the upper lounge, and floor 36, where the staircase crumbles.
Format: Any is fine, it's up to you guys. :|b
Summary: For all he knows, he fell during the fight with Polaris. Time to dwell on this! And then later, getting stumped by stairs.
Warning: Sorta-jittery staralien waxing poetic on his angst, followed by also jumping being a very new activity.
The world he knew was now out of his reach. It was gone from him, he could feel it.
Awakening in such a condition had left him more rattled than he had ever felt, but it wasn't the sinking despair of failure, not really...it was how cut off he was. His instinct had been to call for his demons, or to teleport back to the the Shining One's side, but nothing answered. He was alone in a strange room, within some other world, and last he could recall was the true face of Polaris staring them down. Only then did he truly despair at the amount of loss he'd suffered, but it wasn't the same sort of terror most would have felt. He had known their gamble from the start. If they had failed, then he was forced to accept it.
[Floor 38]
But, why was he still conscious? Was this some strange punishment, enacted by Polaris? Maybe he was still at the record, and the others were outside, still fighting? His priority became to find some sort of view outside, but when he arrived on the lounge floor, his insides seemed to still. The Anguished One approached the glass, peering out in to the nothingness...then sat down in front of it, curling his arms around his knees and kept watching.
He decided then that he had been foolish for ever trying to challenge Polaris.
[Floor 36]
After spending quite some time sorting out the gravity of his current situation, the Anguished One decided to try and motivate himself for exploration- but only made it to floor thirty-six before he hit a snag. Once he hovered in to the floor, he found...his feet on the ground? And despite his best efforts, he could not get himself up and flying once again. While this was odd and troubling, that wasn't as bad as when he eventually came to the edge of the staircase, when jumping became required. He could walk of course (even if he did so like it was weird), but...he'd never leaped anywhere without hovering or flying to make the difference. Was he willing to chance that? Would it be better to first wonder about his density on this new world...? Or was he simply overthinking it?
Regardless, he'd be stuck in awkward contemplation mode while standing at the edge for quite some time, at this rate.

OH COOL ROCKS ARE NEAT : >
"I cannot allow you to die on my mistake."
And it was. This was a horrible mistake, he had no idea what to do...his reliance on the Record was showing, and his lack of tact in action as well. But, he couldn't simply leave Doom to rampage. It was a simple matter to fade away, and reappear where he'd left Moros, this time without any pedestrian distractions.
"I am sorry that I have to do this, one who holds Moros." Frankly, Saiduq should have apologized a long time ago, but... "Please, don't give up on resisting him."
But, what could he do? Any attack seemed to go through to his human as well- everything at his disposal was multi-hit or too risky. The best thing he could hope for was to tire the god out, and keep him from causing his human too much agony.
start a rock collection 8'|
Moros looked like he had lost interest in Alcor; he had started to turn away from where he had been, though not disappear. When Alcor reappeared though, the God of Doom rotated again, this time unleashing a Garudyne spell.
It had given up on talking at this point. It was easy to forecast that Alcor was weak to wind, so as the green wind blew, Moros rotated its body around almost robotically, extending its singular arm and wrapping its fingers around Jin's neck.
okay no don't take my rock i need it
As soon as she can command her own muscles again, Sayaka jolts up, livid. That... that bastard! What did he think he was doing, dragging her away like that? Especially after what he'd instigated!
Her knees knock a bit when she hops off the bed - the effects might not be entirely gone, but she'll walk it off.
..Well, run it off. She has couple floors to race through.
aww but its shiny : ?
and keeping his pimp hand strong."Stop!"
He pushed himself forward, grasping the arm at the wrist, and tried to wrench it free; when that didn't directly work, he instead did something the Shining One had once taught him.
He punched Moros in the..."face".
there are many more shinies out there
hold on dealing with babby emoticons
There was nothing he could do. Without the record to forecast the possible futures, and without the centuries to consider his options, he wasn't wise enough to deal with situations like this.
All he could do was go for the mercy kill. Alcor's face drew blank at the thought, but was it so unlike putting down Yamato or Ronaldo?
"I'm sorry."
He wanted to believe he meant it, but apology was still a new emotion to him. Instead, he held his hand out, and began to glow a misty black.
"I'll try to make this painless."

The pain from Jin's persona was pulsating in his head, but Eikichi wasn't going to let...whoever that guy was just outright kill him! You know. Because. Stupid hero types.
"That's one of the Strega guys I was talking to you about," he hissed at Tatsuya, before bringing his guitar case in front of him. But he wasn't playing that card just yet, and instead began to glow with a blackish energy.
"Let's go Hades!" The Persona stepped out and attempted to cast a Marin Karin on the enraged Persona, while giving him a punch with the other. He wasn't attempting to kill him, just get him away from Jin's neck. "Ta-chan, cover me!" Uh Eikichi. Eikichi don't try to be the Main Hero.

...Alcor!? Goddammit all, what was he doing? What the hell even happened here? Good thing he met the guy, right?
"Al, stop it!" >You tried forceful persuasion with Alcor. Good thing you already met the guy!
no subject
Jin himself fell back to the ground completely, falling on his back and gasping for breath. He was still pretty obviously in pain, given the look on his face-- though that was probably entirely because a) ow, that punch, and b) Moros' continued manifestation.
Moros turned its attention to Eikichi and Hades now; it turned and whirred, unleashing another Agidyne spell.
no subject
Tatsuya's cry was basically the thing that got him to hold back, and his arm shook as he dispelled the darkness clouding around him.
"Wh-?!"
The Agidyne went off, and Alcor tried to take some of the blow, but he wasn't close enough to intercept all of it. The fire damage didn't do much, but he'd taken a couple hits by then, and couldn't completely ignore it this time.
"I have to stop Moros!"
What were they doing...?!
no subject
Piece of shit. Of course Moros would have to unleash the one attack he was weak against and Eikichi held an arm to his chest in pain, before patting down the fire in his hair. His entire body felt like he'd been intensely sunburned.
"QUEZALCOATL!" Hades shifted out, replaced by the large snake that hissed at Moros, attempting to twirl itself around him. Eikichi wasn't as strong with him, but that wasn't important right now. He turned towards Jin and admittedly rather stupidly shook him up a bit to make sure he was still breathing and get his attention.
"The hell do we stop it?" Point him to your pills, something!
no subject
"We can handle this. Please trust us." With that, he went to go help Eikichi, if only to distract this "Moros" and draw fire. He could feel the throbbing pain of it in his head too. So much pain and anger...he'd never forgive whoever did this.
no subject
Alcor stayed his hand, in the end, hovering high enough in the air that he wasn't in the way.
"I am trusting you, Tatsuya."
Even if Moros' presence made his insides squirm with...something, he would hold back.
no subject
When Eikichi shook him, Jin didn't react very well; he tried to push him away angrily, but with his limited strength and how much his head hurt, it wasn't going to be very effective. Stop Moros? Frankly he'd rather they just kill him so he could die and make it stop and he could wake up again the next day-- and he probably would've done it himself if he had his grenades.
"P--... Pills," He eventually said through gritted teeth, his hands going up again to grip the sides of his head. "A bottle."
A cursory glance around the area would show a white bottle of pills laying on the ground a few feet away, fallen out of his pocket from when Moros was flinging him around.
no subject
With a complete lack of grace, he used two fingers to push open Jin's cheeks to open his mouth and threw a couple down his throat. Not exactly the best way to do it, but considering the circomstances at least it wouldn't cause him to choke and it was all he could do without water to wash it down.
no subject
Looked like Eikichi was handling it well, although...well, he tried. If anyone could say anything about Eikichi, it would be, "He tries."
On his grave marker, his epitaph will just say, "Eikichi Mishina: He tried."
"Eikichi! How is he?" Getting better, calming down, what?
no subject
He tried so hard, and got so farMaybe not choke, but Jin nearly gagged at Eikichi forcing his mouth open and pills down his throat. He tried to swat Eikichi away again, and once he had full access to opening and closing his mouth, he swallowed. Coughed a bit, but he swallowed.
A few seconds later and the pills took effect; Moros disappeared from between Quezalcoatl in another flurry of blue light.
When it was gone, Jin let out a breath in exhaustion, still holding his head, though releasing the tension, and the pain in his head finally receding to a dull after-ache.
no subject
He was starting to wonder if it came at the price of him being weak.
The star remained hovering a good seven feet in the air, watching as Jin calmed down and the other two attended to him. Was his resolve crumbling so quickly? He'd come to rely on the Shining One for moral judgement like that. Was he so off-base with humanity...?
no subject
clusterfucknope, yeah, clusterfuck.Priority A, get rid of that Moros thing - well, that one's done.
Priority B's jaw still looks relatively unbruised, though.
Her pace slows. It'd probably be best to approach slowly, because everything's still all keyed up.

Like who the heck that floating guy was, and what type of outfit he was wearing. Without even an inch of fear and looking more like his stance when he used to be the Boss in school, he steps close to him and glares him down, pushing one hand into the other like he'd be ready to punch his face if he needs too. Hade's been switched back to his normal position, watching from inside him.
"Hey! The hell's you problem anyway?! What kind of shitstain tries to kill someone else like that?"
Yes. The boy with the Arcana of Death asking why you were trying to kill someone.

He also noticed the younger girl coming up to them slowly and relaxed just a bit, nodding at her to come over. It was fine, they were done, he just needed to ask Alcor what even the fuck.
Speaking of which, he looked up at the star-alien-wwwwwhatever just floating up there.
"Come down." Right? He couldn't just float around up there all day and avoid everyone.
no subject
"I can explain from here."
He's sort of aching from being -dyne'd twice, thanks, he doesn't want to test mankind's resolve to put his light out permenantly.
This would be so much more awkward if he was not from his own story path"I only sought to destroy Moros." Alcor paused, and allowed himself to hover slightly lower, hugging his elbows. "It seems I cannot, without doing damage to he who houses him. This is..."
The trail-off was mostly to allow the star a moment to sink his chin in to his collar bone. "I was not wanting to kill him. A quicker death was all I could offer, given how I riled Doom within him."
At least he's not trying to duck out of responsibility...?

When Sayaka came over, he staggered for a moment to reach her and put a hand on her shoulder, hoping to halt her progress towards Alcor; it was easy to tell she was pissed off, but the last thing Jin wanted right now was Alcor to go crazy again.
"...that your idea of mercy? What bullshit." Did not stop him from lashing out verbally though. 'Cause seriously what an asshole.
no subject
It's weird. Normally, she wouldn't even think of magic in terms of use or amounts - but she can practically feel it, power slipping away if she doesn't use more will than usual to grasp it.
"..." is the most she has to offer to the discussion.
no subject
Alcor didn't even hesitate in mentioning that subject, tact be damned. He picked his head up and stared right at Jin.
"At the time, it was your idea of mercy, as well."
