Summary: In which Eridan pretends he knows how to sew. Spoilers, he doesn't. Backdated to before the Labyrinth event!

[It's really not that hard, he figures, to use his torn jacket as a pattern and make a new one with some scraps of red fabric lying around. It's just. Cutting fabric and sewing it together. How hard can it be?

Apparently, very hard and not really a project for the uninitiated.

He's left the whole mess on a workbench for now, focusing on patching up his other pair of pants. That, at least, he's relatively used to. It's not the neatest of stitch-work, but at least it'll hold.

At least, he thinks with grim amusement, he has two hands now, to do this. Otherwise it'd be well and truly hopeless.]

[Yori has been once again busy exploring the Tower! Since it's not like he has much to do around here, and he's already read the books in his trunk at least twice or thrice by now. And sometimes he goes to the workshop to look at all the tools and things, even if nothing looks particularly safe. He's not used to running into someone else when he does go up though, so he's kind of settling in this here corner to watch Eridan.

He's busy ignoring that thought about two hands. The implications are not pleasant.]

[You... really want to ignore most of his thoughts. His baseline is morbid, and the more he fingers the old stitches on his pants, the more he has faint memories of the game, monsters, undead and in general all the wondrous ways he's ruined his clothes before.

He spares a moment to curse himself for not harvesting his doomselves' corpses when he had a chance. Could have used having a handful more clothes.]

[It's exactly because they're morbid that Yori is having a very hard time looking away, it's like trainwreck syndrome or something. It's a little scary and fascinating at the same time!]

I'm probably not the best person to try and show you any of this, though. I'm starting to think I'm not really good at it.

[Well, a lot, when it comes to patching up things and making sure they don't tear, but not as in making new clothes or anything. Mind, he does have great experience making stitches look fashionable.]

[Yori you're not exactly the best person to judge that either bro. Not when you wear such a hideous jacket.]

Well, it's honestly seen better days. That much is true.

I can imagine? ...Zombies probably aren't kind to clothes.

[Eridan found himself agreeing before something caught up. He blinked and scowled and dismissed the idea all together. It was just a coincidence, right?]

[Coincidence or not, you've got him deadpanning. Because when you're Eridan Ampora, deadpanning is the answer to everything.]

I wouldn't call myself an expert. But then again, I'd slowly back away from whoever calls himself an expert on the undead.

[I'm sorry about the memory of the horde rushing up to the tower? I mean, trolls can be pretty weird-looking but the undead ones are just ghastly.]

[You know what's worse than troll zombies? Troll zombies whose heads explode because BOOM, HEADSHOT. Eridan likes headshots. Eridan is a motherfucking pro at headshots.]

Oh, yes. Chainsaws. Makes sense? Seems kind of unwieldy to use, though.

[He's thinking of Kanaya and how there's absolutely nothing "unwieldy" about her or her battle style. It's actually kind of really cool.]

[People think of some really scary stuff, sometimes! Or just really weird stuff Yori didn't really want to know.]
